"Very nice property, have full access to the lake so bring swim suits. Bring extra blankets, it does get cold and the blankets there are not the best. The views were amazing and the hosts are right there in case anything happens. We will book again!"

"We had a great stay. However, upon arrival, we found busted water balloons out back along with cigarette butts from the previous stay I assume. There was poison ivy/oak all over around walkways, trees, decking, fire pit was not utilized due to the amount in that area. Someone to spray the vines would be great. Sheets on one of the beds upstairs had stains on them so they weren't slept on. There was a bad smell outside that either came from trash bins or sewer. I wish the lake view was little better but not a deal breaker.The home was very clean, had a screened in porch and everything else we needed except a blender. Kayak's were available for use and were great! We saw a deer in the neighbors yard. Host was wonderful to deal with as well. She was prompt and kept me in the loop about the water level and checked on us after our stay. I recommend Happy Jack's Winery! Very friendly and very good wines! All in all, I'd stay there again!"

"Two families stayed together here with plenty of room. The wide open living area was great, the porch waa awesome with a lot of time spent there. The boat ramp being next door was super easy to walk down for fishing and swimming. The house was actually better than the pics and had just about everything you could need!"

"If you’re looking for a place that feels like stepping back in time without sacrificing comfort, this cabin is an absolute gem.From the moment I pulled onto the property, we were captivated by the peaceful setting, rolling farmland, historic barns, and the authentic character of the 1800s cabin. The craftsmanship and history of the cabin have been beautifully preserved, while modern amenities make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The combination of rustic charm and thoughtful updates was perfect.One of my favorite parts was sitting on the porch and deck, taking in the views and enjoying the quiet Kentucky countryside. The historic tobacco barn, smokehouse, and farm buildings create an atmosphere that feels straight out of a history book. The cabin itself was spotless, cozy, and full of character.The location is ideal for anyone wanting to experience rural Kentucky while still being close to Owensboro, local bourbon attractions like Green River, and area restaurants and the top BBQ in the US. The hosts have created something truly special here. This was more than a place to stay. It was an experience. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already talking about when we can come back. If you appreciate history, beautiful scenery, and a peaceful getaway, don’t hesitate to book this cabin."

"We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. We went with our adult children (ages 18, 18, 19, 20, 20, 20 and 20) as well as my husband and myself. We had plenty of room and lots to do. The ping pong table and other games were a real hit. The beds were comfortable (especially in the primary) and everything was very spacious. The steps were a lot but that is stated in the listing and we had no issues with it. We rented a boat from Nick's boat dock which is visible from the dock at the house. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be re-booking this again in the future."

"Loved staying in this historic house.Only the porches needed sweeping .I am 94 and loved the handicap bath.Wish they provided a complete history of the Greens.We had looked up some on the computer.Enjoyed our day at the pool and even the rain could not dampen the fun we had the rest of the time."
