Very disappointing , was expecting discount on Spa services and I informed day priior in email . Front desk denied any such communication and charged me 207 dollars . Spa was good but not great as we get more excellent spa services with same price. Front desk did not even consider email communication , spent 232 dollars for a normal room was expecting something good . Food had no option for vegetarians

The resort was OK - few issues:- 1. No activities available at the resort. You will need to travel at least 1 hour each way to be near a mall or close to any activity area. 2. Most important to state, the food was pathetic. There are no food outlets around - the closest would be about an hour drive. Resort should consider improving the food standards. 3. Car rental was exorbitantly expensive.

We stayed at the ocean view suit which had a fantastic view. The rooms were clean and new and the beds were very cosy. The rooms were tucked at the corner of the place, a 5-10min walk away from the lobby. Breakfast's selection was reasonable thought the food was average.

A week in Bintan for couple - September 2017

Overall, we had a very good time in Bintan Agro Beach Ressort & Spa. Strenghts: - Beautiful Deluxe room with great view and amazing king size bed - A lot of water bottles provided - Every person of the staff were always willing to help and make your stay unforgettable - The food of the Sunmoon restaurant was good for the price (but we personally prefer to go to local food court) - The driver of the car that we rented, Ahiok, was trully kind and full of good advices for our visit of the island - The room service was efficient and the fresh fruit juices delicious - The breakfast buffet was diversified, special point for fried bananas - We chose the Milk and Honey couple spa, the place was amazing, we finished being very relaxed (just do not be afraid of asiatic painful massage) and enjoyed a 30% discount since we booked in advance Weaknesses (closer to details scale): - Sink water is yellow at the beginning - Lezards and butterflies can enter into your room (do not worry they just want to be your friend :) ) - The dishes of the room service after the room cleaning were just putted outside next to the door instead of being immediately brought back to the restaurant - The cleanliness of the bed sheets can be improved - On some days and nights, there was loud music on the beach just in front of our room Thank you again for everything Djimy & Sarah

Staffs are very friendly, the shuttle bus service is punctual and providing comfortable seats. Friendly price for food, massage and night experience of watching firebugs and Milky Way in the mangrove forest. Will definitely go for second time.

An Awesome & Memorable Stay...

Warm smiles will greet you upon arriving Bintan Argo Resort. The check-in was done in a jiffy and the ice cold ginger drink was refreshing. I was mesmerised by the picturesque scenery abound with greenery and lots of colourful kites dancing in the clear blue skies. I booked a junior suite with an ocean view. OMG... my room was awesome! The junior suite was spacious and clean. The toilet has a sleek bath tub and cool rain shower. It was great to have a balcony facing the ocean... just lounging on the swing at the balcony with the sound of the lapping waves can make one doze off to sleep! Awesomeness! The fridge has fruits and canned drinks to quench your thirst and snacks were readily available in the minibar. Wifi was very strong. Argo Resort is truly the place to unwind and relax... You will be greeted with smiles from staff in the resort, especially Marta, who is ubiquitous and is ever-so-ready to give you assistance to make your stay a good one. Thank you Marta! You are GREAT! We also had a wonderful spa experience with the Oceanic Spa Exotic Bali couple treatment. We felt so pampered and so relaxed! The food in Sun Moon restaurant was also delicious. The service was fast and efficient although it was crowded. Their chilli crab was surprisingly good! I will definitely return to Bintan Argo for another holiday even though it is a bit far from the ferry terminal. The warm staff, beautiful suite and wonderful scenery is enough to make me forget the distance!

ビンタンフェリー乗り場から車で約1時間程かかる周りにはあまり何もない所です。地元の人達のそのままの生活など道中で見れて興味のある人には良いと思います。ホテル自体の規模は大きめですが、建物などは少し古い感じがしました。しかし、スタッフの方達は皆さん笑顔でとても優しかったです。レストランも周りには何もないのでホテルで食べる事になりますが、味は普通でした。プールが海の目の前で、とても気持ち良かったです。

Quick leisure get-away from Singapore

Although the ride up to the hotel from the Ferry terminal seems never ending (about 1 hour approx.), the location of the Resort (next to the beach) makes it all worth it. I read some previous blogs which mentioned that when they were at the resort, due to low tide the water had receded hence making the coastline experience not worth it at the resort. Subsequently keeping minimal expectations about enjoying the beach, we witnessed just that - our arrival in the morning (about 11am) vs the afternoon vs the evening (normal tide vs low tide vs high tide). Even though we did not indulge in water sports, we quite enjoyed the transition of the waves/tides and spent the day at peace by their swimming pool. The staff is very courteous and the Spa therapists seemed quite well experienced. We had a 90 min relaxing Hot Stone Therapy. Quick tips- Book your massage in advance and avail a 20%-30% discount on your massage! Food is not a great plus, but we liked the Sun Moon Restaurant better than the Asiana (Pool-Bar/Restaurant) Ordering alcoholic beverages in-room seems more costly as they charge extra for it!

A resort worth revisited

From the hassle free transportation service from and to the jetty to the friendly and helpful staff, it is such wonderful experience all round. For this trip, we have chosen to stay at the Junior Suite, which is like a villa right above the water. It has a very nice sea view just right at our balcony and with it facing East, we also get to see glorious Sunrise. For the kite surfer, this resort is a great spot to indulge in that activity. It has a wide open sea, shallow water and with strong wind ( during my stay ), I have seen many of the surfer enjoying themselves there. For ourselves, we decided to explore the island for this trip. We have gone on a day and night mangrove tour; visited Maria Cave, the oldest Chinese temple and seen intricate lifesize Chinese dieties garden called the 500 Arahan. (separate review on the way for all these places). Within the resort, in terms of food, the Asiana provide complimentary breakfast and serve lunch. If one need to settle a no-frill meal, it does cover the basic requirement. However, the Sun Moon Restaurant is another story, the food is tasty and the portion is luxurious. And it offer a great view too. A must visit place in the resort. As this is a Spa resort, we couldn't pass the chance of trying the Oceanic Spa services. They have relocate to the 4th level of the main building, as such we get to have our massage with a great view, same for those who opt for foot reflexology too. Agro isn't for me

Not a good place in Bintan unless you are a hard core kite surfer (1 hr away by car from ferry terminal). The hotel is 3rd rate with very outdated rooms and facilities. Bathroom is also not very nice for a 'resort'. The neighborhood is sleepy and there isn't much to see outside of the resort. I prefer the Lagoi side of Bintan where they have nice actual sandy beaches and far better hotels that cost the same as Agro.

Good and Convenient Hotel near the beach

Overall our stay was Good. The full service was great and the free transport wake it all convenient. I would say their Seafood restaurant has the best cuisine for seafood dishes. The only thing we are ungappy about is the Swimming pool which is not clean tgat time and I developed skin rashes the day after we tried their Swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is okay and don't expect that much. Overall is good and convenient!

Very average experience

Average experience. The only plus were the condition of the rooms and the smiles on their faces. Although it is on the sea front, it's not conducive for children to play on the beach. Food during the buffet dinner was cold and lacked character at 2045 hrs in the evening. In fact, the Pepper crabs were over and they didn't even bother to replenish. When I told them that the food was cold, they managed to make us some hot seafood fried rice.

Great Hotel with awesome sea view

We had stayed for 3D2N and was given sea view deluxe room. It was great, room was clean and very comfortable, sun deck was great. It was very comfortable. However I think since at times especially during low tides, there is not much sea activities hotel should provide more activities on beach e.g. beach massage etc. I love the pond fishing, actually manage to catch some fish BUT hope the hotel can clean up that area. Food was great. STAFF WAS AWESOME. I have stayed in many resorts in Bintan but staff at Bintan Agro are friendliest and most helpful and polite

Very quiet

I went there for an overnight stay with my aunt, it was midweek and was really quiet, not much to do at all and not many guests. The room was very large and really nice inside. We had a lovely balcony on the sea. It was also a very peaceful setting. The service in the restaurant was pretty bad, the staff stood about chatting most of the time and all the food would take about half hour to come out. I had finished my meal before my aunt got hers. There was something in the room during the night also who helped itself to the in room snacks, i didn't have a light on so didn't see what it was!!
