On the plus side, the house was, apart from some cobwebs in alcoves, reassuringly clean although some of the cutlery and crockery needed a jolly good wash before use. The decor was fun and the use of space imaginative. There is insufficient cutlery and crockery meaning that it was necessary to wash up after each meal. "Super cosy cottage with everything you could wish for. Super communication from Sue who kindly informed us that we were able to check in earlier than expected. Extremely comfortable and clean. Lovely village with amenities and buses to York. Park and ride option just a short drive away by a great designer outlet. The little touches including the milk and biccies were also very much appreciated. My only issue was forgetting my phone charger (when will i learn???!!!!) Thank you for a lovely...

"Amazing lodge, fully equipped with everything for your stay. Cleaned to a high standard, we found a lovely pub that did food around the corner called the half moon, definitely recommended "

"Good hotel in a good location! Room had everything we needed and was good quality. Breakfast had a good selection and was good. 5 minute walk to high Street area. Of site parking very close by NCP I belive! £17.50 for 24hrs thanks to discount when staying at this hotel. Only negatives were no soft close on the toilet seat and the bed was a bit firm for me. "
