"Everything about this hotel was fantastic. Katherine and Terry was welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Plenty of choice at breakfast time they made sure you never left hungry 😊 spacious room with super king bed the best bed I’ve slept in for a while. Definitely be returning again in the future. "I discovered this hotel two years ago when needing somewhere to stay after moving my Nephew into his student accommodation! First impressions really do count as every time I come to visit him in Birmingham, THIS is the hotel we choose! From the very first visit we were made to feel so welcome & relaxed. The hotel is immaculate, food fantastic, the rooms spacious & again super clean! All the staff are amazing! My most recent visit July 2025 I was back to stay after having emptied my Nephews flat! We were shattered but we were able to come back here & just relax & switch off! My Nephew will be going into his third year at University September 2025 so we will be back very soon when we are down moving him in again!
Thanks again to ALL at the Clayton for always looking after us! It really is appreciated! See you in September!

"This was a very decent hotel with a good breakfast. It is fairly easy walk from the train station and easy to get to Edgbaston for the cricket. Breakfast was very busy but well managed so everything was always available. "
"Great hotel! Recommend highly. The room was comfortable and spacious. Ditto for the bathroom. Minor amount of wear and tear. Unfortunate that the coffee maker leaked. Exercise room was basic although warm.

"What a bargain £55 for our last minute one night stay, room was really clean, the area’s not the best but we didn’t need to venture out, had a couple of drinks downstairs in the bar and the staff were really friendly. "
"Located about 20 minutes walk from the event I was attending at The Flapper pub. Also, only 20 minutes walk from New Street station coupled with the cost made this an ideal place to stay. If you are attending the O2 Academy then this would be a fantastic location."
