"A fantastic location for exploring Harrogate. The hotel is clean, practical, and has all the necessary amenities on site. The large basement parking is a real bonus and very convenient. The staff are absolutely lovely—friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. The restaurant serves good food as well, making it easy to relax without needing to go far."

"Great place to stay in York as it’s literally minutes from the Shambles and all the amenities around them along with York Minster. Plus a walkable distance from the train station, around 15 minutes "

"Very friendly staff and efficient check in. Excellent location. We had a room with an amazing view of York Minster. It was up 38 steps ( no lift to this part of the hotel) but the view made the climb worth it. Quiet despite its central location. Lovely breakfast, again with views of the Minster. Would stay again. "

"Very efficient check in with friendly staff. The room was clean. It was an executive suite and very spacious, almost too much so as it felt oddly sparse. As mentioned in previous reviews, the room and furniture were ‘tired’ and in need of updating. The hotel must have been glorious in its heyday but its splendour has definitely faded. Having said that, I thought the 2 night stay was good value, and the hotel is in a very central location. Don’t expect luxury but do consider its value for money and its location. "
