"Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality."

"The staff were accommodating and always willing to help. Our room was lovely and as advertised online. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pools were wonderful and our spa experience was extremely positive. Overall good value for dollar. Our only complaint would be the cost of a poolside drink - it was wild!"

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

"Nicely decorated and lovely communal and pool areas. Really good value in Nosara. It is a bit out of town but TukTuks are easy enough and affordable. Unfortunately we were give a room with a severe large ant infestation, we tried to raise it with staff initially and also deal with ourselves, but in the end had to move rooms as it got out of hand (the new room was better, but also still had ants and was very hot…). Staff were lovely and super helpful, our stay was just let down by lack of...
