"New, clean. Sparse and basic furnishings but all that I needed. Great breakfast. Great convenience shop for snacks and frozen foods to heat up in microwave. Cool modern lobby and breakfast area."

"Great to see the renaissance of downtown Gastonia. The Esquire is a cornerstone of the surge. When we were looking for lodging in the area, we saw the Esquire and we were delighted to see the old bank and lawyers’ building converted. The staff was amazing. The restaurant sources from all locally owned farms and suppliers. The rabbit gnocchi was life-changing. I wish I could rate higher than all 5s. Thank you Esquire- we will be back soon!!!!!"
