Great location especially those looking to take advantage of San Juan river. House was clean, good kitchen setup, clean towels/bathrooms, etc. Worked out great for me and three friends fishing the san juan
This was a great spot to stay for a fishing trip on the San Juan. They had everything we needed for relaxing after a long day of wading and we will be back.
We had a great time staying here. We mainly used for sleeping because we spent all our time on a boat house on the marina at Navajo Lake. This place is in an excellent location if you are planning on lake time or quality waters fishing. Our grandchildren loved the play room. Adults enjoyed early morning coffee on the back deck.
This house was such a pleasant surprise. First time guests, the house was very well maintained, plenty of parking, and the owners really did an exceptional job with the decor, especially the game room! Owner was also great to work with and very responsive!
Home was clean and very nice enjoyed the game room when it got to hot perfect place for the kids. The fire pit was outstanding. Home was not riverside and we couldn’t access do to a horrible lady that owned an ever park wanted to charge 10.00 per person. My only complaint was water smelled like sulfur I wouldn’t recommend drinking it.
Everything that we expected about the property from the reviews was accurate. It was homely and the children enjoyed the game room very much! It’s close to the San Juan river and the fly fishing there was a great experience! There is an outside fire ring with much wood stacked by it but we didn’t utilize it because we were so busy enjoying other features of the area. There is so much to do in the area! The only downside that we experienced was that a new HVAC was just installed and it gave us problems for one night that we didn’t have heat. But the technicians were on site promptly and remedied the situation. This is the only reason why we gave it a 4 star rating. The experience we had was tremendously great in the area! We’ll be going back again!
Things needed for a higher rating.Closet hangers. There are zero hangers.Meat thermometer for bbq.More towels and wash rags. Only had 2 wash rags for a week stay. Bathrooms need towel racks and hangers. The host was easy to contact as we needed a butcher knife. There were only 4 cheap steak k ifes. They delivered a butcher knife to us the next day. A dishwasher would be helpful.
Property owner/manager Marcel was a great communicator! Nice property for fly angler groups fishing the San Juan River. Spacious accommodations, comfortable HVAC, functional kitchen for cooking meals and large dining table for breaking bread. Our group of three longtime friends did not use the impressive game room since our play time was spent on the water. The property has a neat fire pit, however the weather related “Red Flag” fire danger cautions prevented us from enjoying evening campfires. Bring a jacket for those high desert chilly nights. For those who enjoy star gazing the view of the night sky is amazing from the property. Also, the location is in proximity to the local fly shops and all San Juan River public access points. We picked up groceries in Albuquerque, so plan accordingly since Navajo Dam does not have a large grocery store. The Sportsman’s just down the road has some basic supplies. Our group would recommend this property to fellow fly angers. Tight lines!
