The hosts live nearby and are always available to answer any questions. We’re also happy to provide tips for day trips.
Blankenrath, with a population of about 1,800, offers everything you need for your vacation: shopping, a bakery, doctors, a pharmacy, banks, and a gas station. There’s also a restaurant with a beer garden and a kebab stand. Additionally, the town features two playgrounds, a quarry pond, direct access to the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig long-distance hiking trail, and the starting point of the local parish hiking trail, which connects the surrounding parishes. A special highlight is the Geierlay suspension bridge, just 7 km away—it spans the valley between Sosberg and Mörsdorf. Blankenrath is also ideally situated as a starting point for an excursion to the beautiful Moselle River with its many wine festivals (Zell am Mosel is about 14 km away, and Cochem is about 32 km away). Europe’s steepest vineyard—the Calmont in Bremm—is also only about 20 minutes away, with its hiking trail and via ferrata. In the opposite direction, you can reach the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, in about half an hour. Both the Moselle and the Rhine offer ideal conditions for cycling and hiking tours. Hahn Airport: 16 km

Lovely well appointed property in a village.

Lovely property in quiet village that also had a bakers and a supermarket. The surrounding villages were worth a visit and there were some well marked walks. 15 minutes from the Mossel we found it much better than being closer. We would stay there again if we are able to return.

Perfect stay in the Mosel area

Frank's place is perfect for an holiday in the Mosel area. The house is lovely, nice garden, very good beds, every kind of equipment you can think of is available! Blankenrath is a small village with your everyday necessities: good bakery, supermarket, biergarten/gasthof. We made several trips in the area. Geierlay bridge, Cochem, waterfalls, they are all available in max a half hour drive.Very nice house, beautiful nature, Ferienhaus Leo is a recommandation!

Sehr sauber, alles da, was man braucht und sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber!
