This is an 1880’s slum! The room had rotted furniture, the stained carpet was covered with a filthy hard rattan mat that hurt my feet and the mattress was like sleeping on a cement floor! In addition, there is no TV in the room. Plus, the porch looks like it will soon fall off the building. I have no idea how they stay in business as a hotel!

Great location at Old Harbor. We loved sitting on the back balcony overlooking the harbor and the front balcony overlooking Spring Street. No frills, but charming, comfy room and very convenient.

My friend and I were in town for a wedding weekend. The Inn was perfect for our stay on Block Island. I would certainly recommend this Inn to others. It was quiet at night and it was exactly what we needed. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but when we did it was perfect for our needs.

My BD get-away 2022

We almost could have tolerated the old, outdated, shabby, moldy, screen less windows but the staff running around and causing a chaotic presumably drunken ruckus starting at 11 pm and lasting couple hours did it for us. Ironically, the house rules we were given specifically stated “quiet hours” from 11 pm to 7 am. Needless to say we really didn’t sleep. It all started a little shaky when the room wasn’t ready on time for 3 pm check in. We foolishly thought that since they asked for our ferry arrival time (10 am and we certainly didn’t think we were checking in that soon) that the room would be ready when they said. We understood that our nightly charge of $466 (taxes included) was a little below market given the weekend but we were really surprised by how awful and dirty the room and bathroom turned out to be. I mean jaw dropping. Not sure how or why there positive reviews of this place. We are Block Island regulars that normally stay at another inn but wanted to try this place given its proximity to the main drag and surprise…..availability. Maybe the second floor is magically beautiful but we’ll never know.
