I like to support smaller businesses, as long as they are clean; and that is what we got. They were in the process of updating the rooms, so they are definitely trying to keep up. All of the staff were extremely friendly. We would definitely stay again.

The South Fork has been around for years. Staff was very nice, room clean, a nice place to stay. There is plenty of parking. I will stay again.

Clean and quiet

This is a older individually owned hotel that you can tell all the staff take pride in keeping it very clean and well kept. The attached restaurant has very good food at reasonable prices.

We were a bit skeptical pulling in, as the hotel’s exterior has a dated, 1980s budget-motel vibe. The driveway is shared with a semi-truck parking area and is quite rough with several large potholes, so take it slow! However, once we were inside, the experience shifted for the better. While they seem to operate with a skeleton crew, the service was excellent. No one was at the desk when we arrived, but a note instructed us to call a number; the gentleman arrived immediately, was extremely kind, and made check-in a breeze. The rooms (we booked two) were surprisingly modern and very clean. They featured Fire TVs, which made it easy to log into our own streaming apps. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. We also visited the connected Bar & Grill for a nightcap. They are currently waiting on their liquor license, so they couldn't serve alcohol yet, but the space was clean and inviting. We didn't eat there this time due to family plans, but the prices are very reasonable for the area and we’d definitely try the food next time. The Bottom Line: If you can overlook the driveway and the 80s exterior, this is a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay.

Clean and comfortable, but breakfast was sad

Clean and relatively comfortable. The "continental breakfast" was a joke! A couple containers of dry cereal, a fridge with a handful of milk containers, and cold coffee.

Nice motel. Old but nice. Very very clean. You're in the country so things like a gravel parking lot or lobby/cereal/coffee bar can be seen as charming. No one on duty at the time of check out 8:30am. Dropped the key in a basket on counter. I would definitely stay there again. The only reason for a 3 star on the property ... some of the furniture needs to be either throne away or given a quality repair. Did I mention the place was very clean?

Motel was clean, staff were friendly and room was comfortable. Only drawback was restaurant was closed all weekend. For a motel in a small city with not very many other options that was a big drawback.

This motel and grill has sadly gone down the drain compared to what it once was. Having one outlet to plug anything into without using the bathroom is equivalent to 1990’s norm. The staff were nice, but the property is going downhill. Mattress, sheets, and comforter were a joke. Had dogs running down the hall on a leash with an odd owner talking to herself. Another guest was barefoot, shirtless, and in blue jeans yelling from the desk down the hall. The icing on the cake was that grill is not good! No fries with burgers (must add on), soup and fried potatoes were gross. GreatValue at Walmart ingredients all the way through AND did NOT have a liquor license or alcoholic beverages for a BAR. Yet, a dude walked in, and the owner offered him a bottle of beer from a secret stash of beer from behind the cash register. The poor waitress, some HS girl, had 1 table. The locals despise this place on a Saturday night where it used to be standing room only a few short years ago. AVOID! Go somewhere else until they revive this place!!

We were here for a party in the motel party room. Checked in early and enjoyed party. After we ate at the restaurant, the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Just question billing as they placed a double charge on stay. After check out it showed only 1 billing.

The Motel was clean and comfortable. The light switch inside by door controls all lights and TV. Also, they turn off the refrigerator when not occupied, so you will need to reach in and turn it on. Overall, very nice property. I wish I had been able to try restaurant.

A nice place for a small community.

This is not a hotel chain. It is individually owned. Our room was in one of the pics of the king sized bed. It was clean and bright. These are fine rooms. I read reviews saying the rooms are dark. Not true. I read a review saying there was no where to plug in a phone. No. There are outlets. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband had sausages and cereal with coffee at the free breakfast. We ate at the restaurant. There were community locals there, also. Don't be afraid to stay here. There are no coffee makers in the rooms; but there's coffee in the lobby.

Clerk was great. Room was clean. Placement of Fridge and Microwave was not very good. Light by door was by bed and also shut off fridge and microwave. Brochure said complimentary breakfast at restaurant, but restaurant didn't open until 8:00am. There was minimal breakfast in lobby.
