"This is by far the best VRBO we've ever rented. Its great Kona location is less than 2 hours from both the dizzying heights of Mauna Kea's summit to the north and the tempestuous cauldron of Kilawea to the south. This home is quiet, but not remote; simple, but not austere; clean, but not uninvitingly sterile. There is plenty of room for 4 people to stretch out and relax and a strenuous hike up the hill to visit the neighbor's very sweet goat and pigs when you're done relaxing. The hosts are quick to respond if there's anything you need. The house is surrounded by lush greenery and massive banana plants (of course) and the front deck overlooks the farm and the nightly sunset over the Pacific. BBQ and eat on the well appointed lanai while enjoying the sounds of frogs, crickets, and the occasional wild pig. A short drive in any direction will take you to boating, snorkeling, botanical gardens, great food, and shopping. This is the perfect Kona home away from home."

Falling asleep to the sounds of the forest in the Jungle Canopy and cohabiting alongside nature allowed us to seclude and connect in between adventures on the island. A charming, intimate, and surprisingly comfortable stay, we will be returning to this special place and recommend it to anyone who is open to connecting with the beautiful nature of the island. "
