A very nice and relaxing stay. We usually venture out for dinners but enjoyed the stay and people so much that we had all our meals there. We showed up at 3:00 in the morning and Moon was there waiting to get us to our room. Looking forward to staying again.

It’s right on the river out of town just enough for it to be quiet but a just few minutes walk into town. Food was excellent! Providing bicycles was great as well. Staff and service was impeccable. Booked the day tour to the botanical gardens, Dark and Paradise cave. I usually like to do things on my own but it was great value. I’ll be back to stay here again.

Helpful staff and great location

The staff were great. They spent time explaining things to us, had tea ready for us when we arrived and checked if we needed any help with tours or other information. Breakfast was good. There is a restaurant overlooking the river so we ate dinner there both nights. Our room had a great view of the river.

Fabulous room with great view over the river. Very clean. Was offered to clean it every day but we were ok with just bin being emptied. Lovely staff who go out their way to help you. Also the best food since we arrived in Vietnam

Moon is very kind as is the entire staff. Do not do your laundry here as the clothes are not entirely cleaned and don't smell of detergent. There is also some blaring music in the morning and the evening due to the church next door and the hotel next door (not due to Funny Monkeys). They did not last too long so it was not really a problem. The food is good, the staff is very friendly and the place is walk-able distance to Phong Nha cave admission and the bus stops.

Excellent view and easy accessibility

The host of the home stay is super friendly and helped us a lot on our stay. We have rented a motorbike to get around but the engine failed in the middle of the trip. The host drove more than 10km to help us fix the problem. The river view of the patio is one of the best in the town and provides perfect lookout point for the sunset. The location of the house is only few hundred meters away from the town centre and the phong nah cave Boat Quay. It is very conveniently to access trip information from the town or enjoy the night life in the town. It is the best choice among the considerations of the view, the accessibility and the cost.

Very lovely Homestay owners. Funny Monkey is in a great location in Phong Nha with a beautiful view of the river. The only slight downside is that a few times a week the church next door starts playing music at 4am, I would recommend earplugs.

Lovely accommodation right on the river. The girls make you feel so comfortable. The room was excellent, very private like you are in a hotel but yet at the same time like you are at home. Breakfast was great. Easy walking distance into town but far enough away to be away from any town noise.I would definitely stay here again.
