"Absolutely wonderful ! We received such a warm welcome from Elena, Florent & little Leon and very soon felt like we were 'entre amis'. They looked after us so well, making sure we had everything we needed. The setting is gorgeous - Nature, wildlife and peace. The animals of Domaine FlorEl were a real highlight & brought a lot of joy! The house was clean & spacious, beautifully historic & kept cool in the August heat (a definite bonus!) "Stay was ok. Order our evening meal and time before going to our room. When we arrived to be seated. We were ignored to start with. Our meal time was 7.15pm didn't get served until 7.50pm. Staff were only interested in other guest who hadn't ordered."

"Le chek in est indiqué sur hotel.com jusqu' à 22h du lundi au vendredi. C'est également ce qui est inscrit en chambre. Mais lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 21h15 porte close. J'ai appelé l'hotel et on m'a repondu que non c'etait écrit 21h. Pour moi le vendredi c'est jusqu'à minuit et non le début de matinée !"

"Friendly staff & more efficient air conditioning than we have found in multiple hotels in France this year was very welcome. As was the free welcome cocktail which came with the carpeted room. Less good, though, was the way the television turned itself on every time we came back into the room & put the key into the slot adjacent to the door, that our queen-size double bed was a bit saggy in the middle, the shower was another one of the doorless types, which meant that splash into the rest of the bathroom & beyond was inevitable & the street light immediately outside our window did not have a shade on it. This meant that, even though blackout curtains were in place, some light still showed around them, which was unfortunate. Also, the windows were only double-glazed (not triple or more), which meant that the sound of the radios from the parked cars below our window was unpleasantly audible in our room. Thank you."

"As an American in a foriegn country, there are challenges with languages and services. We're spoiled here in the US. Big gyms, ice machines on every floor, etc. FIrst person I encountered spoke English well, room was made up every day and overall stay was enjoyable. Entering building from other than the main doors only negative. Will definitely return when staying in the area."

"Accommodation is in little semi detached cottages in the gardens, which is very charming Bed very comfortable, breakfast very good and evening meal fine Only downside was having to use a tablet to read the restaurant carte. Fine for those aged 15 and under but at my age these things get difficult Heater in the bathroom was a bit rusty, which took the edge off a gorgeously refurbished hotel We shall visit again,now that I know to head for Pontabault rather than Val St Pere"
