Always like to book a night or two here to enjoy walking the downtown area. Conveniently located right across a main train station, easy to access. Surprisingly quiet for a middle of the city hotel.

Germany to meet friends

I went to meet my friends from Germany. This hotel is close to the railway station and the city centre. I think it is a very good value for money hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

The staff here is very friendly and nice and helpful. The breakfast is good. The rooms are clean and nice. The bed / pillows are not the most comfortable and the shower is outdated. I would stay here again though. Big rooms and always clean

Pretty good hotel

The hotel was very clean and nice and the rooms were spacious. I found parking and breakfast both expensive. The pillows were flat and terrible. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food at breakfast was good. Overall would stay here again but bring my own pillow!

Schönes Zimmer, Service und Zustand mässig

Bei unserer Ankunft in der Tiefgarage waren beide Gästelifts defekt, nur der Feuerwehrlift funktionierte, was lange Wartezeiten auf den Lift und lange Fahrzeiten bedeutete, da der eine verbleibende Lift auf vielen Etagen hält. Beim Einchecken hat uns der Herr an der Rezeption auf unsere Frage erklärt, dass die Zimmerreinigung nur auf explizite Bestellung erfolgt, was meines Erachtens unangemessenes Sparen auf Kosten des Gasts ist. Wir haben die Reinigung natürlich bestellt. Das Zimmer (12. Etage) war geräumig und insgesamt gut mit schöner Sicht auf den Hauptbahnhof schräg gegenüber. Das Restaurant hatte nur Pizza, weil der Koch krank war. Wir haben daher ausserhalb zu Abend gegessen. Duschen ist eher schwierig, weil man zuerst in die Badewanne steigen muss und der Duschkopf nur mit ca. 45° Winkel aufgehängt werden kann, somit leicht aus der Wanne spritzt.

Ein tolles Hotel um Starlight express zu besuchen. Citynah und nahe am Bahnhof gelegen. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet was man benoetigt

Das Zimmer war ok, das Frühstück hervorragend, das Personal freundlich. Die Bar sehr angenehm. Eine sehr unangenehme Belästigung waren die Parfümzersteuber im ganzen Haus. Nicht nur daß es überall danach stank, wenn mann nicht acht gab, wurde man auch noch mit dem Duft angesprüht. Nix für empfindliche Nasen.

Das Mercure Hotel liegt sehr zentral in Bochum. Das Bermuda Dreieck ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Man ist direkt in der Fußgängerzone. Der Weg zum Starlight Express ist nicht weit.

Wir konnten sofort nach Ankunft mit dem Zug um gegen 13.00Uhr unsere Zimmer beziehen, was für uns sehr angenehm war. Frühstück war sehr gut . Es war für jeden etwas da. Das einzige was etwas nervig war , waren die Fahrstühle. Entweder man musste 10 Minuten warten bis einer in den 8. Stock kam ,umd wen dann eier kam ,hat er in jedem anderen Stockwerk gehalten bis wir unten abgekommen sind. Mfg Fr. Zygalski

Die Kosten der Hotelgarage sind nicht transparent, zu teuer. Auf den Hinweis, dass der Tresor im Zimmer defekt sei hat sich der angesprochene Mitarbeiter nicht bemüht dieses zu beheben. Das Bad ist mit einer Wanne ausgestattet, ein komfortables duschen ist somit nicht möglich.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, allerdings leider ziemlich hellhörig und man hört selbst das Schließen der Türen im Flur und das nicht ganz unerheblich. Nach meinem Empfinden fehlte allerdings ein Wasserkocher und eine Teeselektion, wie ich es von anderen Hotels kenne, auch gab es keine Minibar.

Das Mercure Hotel Bochum bietet ein sehr gutes Frühstück mit großer Auswahl – ein perfekter Start in den Tag! Die Betten sind bequem, die Zimmer sehr sauber und gepflegt. Leider war das Zustellbett ziemlich hart und könnte etwas komfortabler gestaltet werden. Auch die Zimmertemperatur war zu warm – trotz Lüften und Temperaturregler ließ sie sich nicht wirklich senken, da die Klimaanlage nicht aktiv war. Insgesamt aber ein schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen Verbesserungspotentialen.
