"We spent a good week at Les 3 Vaches. It is compact living but with different items to spot where ever you look! (open the dresser draws and find the TV!). The Gite is well set in the Normandy country side with good access to local shopping, eating and a large variety of different places to visit. Our hosts were very welcoming and gave lots of ideas for visits (country side, walks, Castles, animal parks etc.). We were not able to 'do' everything we wished to see! "The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "The house is set at the end of a very rural drive through the French countryside. Whilst VERY rustic, it has all the amenities you would expect, but is a compromise between a pretty old building and modern refurbishment. Perhaps not for everyone, but we loved it. P.S. mind your head on the beams upstairs."
