Great for a family stopover.

Wonderful, spacious rooms right on a great walking shopping street across from the Ötzi Museum. The city area of Bolzano has extensive walking streets with lots of activity. Great views and seems to be a center for cycling. Would definitely visit again.

The room was very spacious. Had a refrigerator and a table so that we could buy a few groceries such as cold cuts, bread, wine and cheese to enjoy if we didn’t want to dine out. Plenty of great places to eat nearby. We would stay there again.

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel, right in the midst of old town and the pedestrian zone. We enjoyed eating breakfast on our private terrace and the spacious rooms. We stayed before and after a grueling trek in the Dolomites and the hotel was a comforting place to return to.

We loved our stay at Palais Hortenberg. Everything was perfect, from the location across the street from the Archeological Museum where Otzi resides, to proximity to great restaurants, shopping, and the Funivia that takes you up into the spectacular hill country above the city. The hotel and staff were top notch. The bed was super comfortable and everything was high tech. This hotel is only 3 years old, and is equipped with the most modern of amenities. Would definitely recommend without reservation.

We stayed the Palais Hortenberg as a jumping off point for a Dolomites trek. It was a very comfortable and convenient place to start off and return to. We were able to store our luggage, rest and relax in a spacious room, and enjoy breakfast on our lovely terrace. We were also able to do laundry on the premises which was a big help after a long hike.

Best place to stay in Bolzano

Wonderful place to stay. We stayed with 2 children age 5 and 7 and have really enjoyed: - Located in a walking distance from train station - Free laundry service - very spacious rooms with a balcony and mountain view, very quite despite of being located on a busy street - lots of places to eat and gelato - walking distance to Cable cars - just opposite Ice man museum - 5-7 min away from nice playground - very clean hotel and staff was very friendly too.
