Nestled within the historic Cilwendeg Estate, this beautifully restored Grade II listed gatehouse offers a unique and memorable countryside escape. Dating back to the early 1800s, Cilwendeg Lodge combines rich heritage with modern comfort, set within a generous private garden complete with your own hot tub – perfect for unwinding under the stars.

Inside, the lodge is thoughtfully arranged with everything on the ground floor. A spacious living room with a cosy wood burner creates a warm and welcoming space, while the charming kitchen/dining room features a striking inglenook fireplace. The property offers a comfortable kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom, along with a family bathroom with shower over bath.

Guests can enjoy a range of included comforts such as Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels, and an initial supply of logs for the wood burner. Families are well catered for, with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Outside, the lawned garden provides the perfect setting for al fresco dining with garden furniture and a gas BBQ, while a private hot tub for up to six guests adds a touch of luxury. There is also bike storage and private parking for up to three cars.

Steeped in fascinating history, the 350-acre Cilwendeg Estate was established in the late 18th century by a wealthy lighthouse builder. Today, guests can explore its scenic grounds, including woodland walks leading to a welcoming local pub. A highlight of the estate is the extraordinary Shell House – a remarkable Gothic garden building adorned with seashells and coloured glass, open to visitors on select days between April and September.

The surrounding area offers an abundance of wildlife, with red kites and buzzards often seen overhead, and plenty to explore nearby. The stunning Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion coastline lies less than 10 miles away, offering dramatic beaches, charming seaside towns and miles of breathtaking coastal paths.
