About this property
Off The Grid Experience, Close To Nature, A Great Getaway, with great views
Set in a smallholding overlooking the Preseli Mountains, famous for the blue stones of Stonehenge, part of the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. Be close to nature with this base to explore Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, or just relax with the views or stargaze by the fire. Inside this unique cabin is a large room with two areas - the living room area with log burner and the sleeping area. It's ideal for two people, but it is spacious and families of up to five have stayed in it comfortably. A kingside 4 poster bed and two singles are provided, with an extra camping bed if needed. There is also a seating area and cooking under cover at the front of the cabin/in the small kitchen shed, a small outside table and chairs also a single gas camping stove. Bring your sleeping bags and towels. It has its own kitchen shed and separate toilet. Also a new Preseli shower facility has been installed for the cabin, so no shared facilities. Although the cabin has no electricity, a photovoltaic system provides LED lighting, and this well insulated cabin is great for winter breaks.
Get the log stove going for a comfy 'glamping' stay in this log cabin, situated at the edge of the camping field in the sunniest spot of the site. Outside is a large porch and private garden area with a firepit. It has a cottagy cosy feeling. Lovingly restored, it used to be a drumming studio, all of the furniture and fittings are reclaimed and recycled (apart from new mattresses), including a solid wood wardrobe and a lovely three piece suite. You can relax, admiring the views or there's lots of walking, close to beaches, woodlands, or activities in nearby Cardigan town. Dolphin spotting, coasteering, theatre, museums and Castle's.

In general lovely stay . Owners friendly and helpful. Location brilliant .Minor suggestion maybe a hand sanitiser would be useful in the toilet but apart of that a great stay . Thank you 💜
I was misled by the search criteria - putting in dates i needed. Then booked in for different days. Yes, i should have checked. But i know my search criteria had correct dates and didnt know it would have offered outside criteria. Luckily one property was vacant and i was given that. I was grateful. BUT i have to say the cost was at least double to what would have been a fair
Off grid is one thing, but for that expense i was expecting a shared fridge and some solar lighting/electricity!!

Was so looking forward to this off grid holiday. However left within twenty minutes just long enough to find and book a hotel. The cabin was filthy and stank to high heaven. I pulled back the throws to check the bed to discover filthy , clearly unchanged bedsheets which were urine stained. The roof clearly leaks in places and we saw two huge rats scurrying about in broad daylight. The "kitchen" consists of a filthy bowl and bucket half filled with rancid water, cooking is a one ring gas stove. A total health hazard the so called kitchen was disgusting. Toilet had encrusted excrement covering the rim and was unusable. Didn't inspect the shower as we had seen enough. The whole site is a run down filthy mess. Owner very pleasant but we didn't get in the cabin till he had left after telling us about his job, knee replacements, wife's ailments and how he is left to do everything! We live off grid for half of the year, so we live a basic life. This isn't basic. It's a health risk. I will be contacting environmental health on my return home. The Cabin was the only accommodation I saw so cannot comment on others on this site. Tried to see the owner before leaving but couldn't get them to answer the door.
If your after boutique chic then probably not the place for you. We had a great few days, just what I needed great views perfect spot for hide and seek and Easter egg hunts with my son. Close to beautiful coastline. Nice hosts would definitely come back.
A perfect escape for those who love the natural simplicities of life!
Such a earthy creative sanctuary Jane and martin haave created. I stayed here with my boyfriend and his dog Clive and we were so so happy to have found this place! There handmade artistic dwelling was perfect for us. We loved keeping the fire going to keep us warm on the cold December nights! The cabin was roasting after an hour or so! Preseli cabin was bigger than expected and is definetly very good value for money. The kitchen shed and compost loo is funky rustic and practical for those who love being outside and realise the importance of a greener existence :)
My partner and I wanted a quiet anniversary weekend away to escape from the bustle of town life and this little cabin was the perfect little eco getaway. lovely and quiet, and our hosts could not have been nicer and more welcoming. can't wait to return 😊
Mentally been struggling lately so needed to escape & the North lodge was exactly what I needed. Being of the grid is such a mental relief, I really enjoyed having just the basics & loved the log burner. The hosts were lovely & very helpful. You are a short drive to some amazing places so a great base camp to explore Pembrokeshire. If you need to escape the city/town life & digital age I highly recommend the North lodge. My golden retriever loved it too 💛
On arrival, kitchen area was dirty (cool box & washup bowl both greasy with slimy bits!)
compost loo stank & shower had a horrid puddle constantly in the change area. Washing up area a joke. The whole place is tatty, shoddy & very unappealing. I'd chosen it based on a 'private garden' -which didn't exist so children and dog had to be constantly minded - not making things very relaxing.
There is also a very fast road and the gate was found open on two occasions during our stay.
Massively over priced. The saving grace was that the other guests & host were nice people.

I could not stay in the accommodation and had to find an alternative. More details needed in advert
Not at all suitable to stay in with my two grandchildren. I could not have used the toilet and kitchen sheds, camping would have been cheaper and cleaner

Beautiful location, comfortable glamping experience with very accommodating owners. We loved it!
Myself, partner and toddler stayed here for four nights in August. The grounds are gorgeous, very maze like, and our almost two year old loved exploring all the nooks and crannies. It's quite private as there's a hedge that surrounds the front of the cabin, which was nice. Very close to beaches and lots to do in the area. We visited a farm Park and saw seals off the headland, and went to an iron age fort. The owners, Jane and Martin, we're very friendly and accommodating, whilst not being imposing. There is a lovely hot shower in a separate cubicle which we took advantage of! Overall it was fantastic and we'll be back! :-)
