The Paris Air Show (Salon international de l'aéronautique et de l'espace de Paris-Le Bourget, Salon du Bourget) is the world's calendar-oldest air show.[1][2] Established in 1909, it is currently held every odd year at Le Bourget Airport in north Paris, France. The 2015 Paris Air Show, from 15–21 June 2015, became the 51st.[3]

The format is similar to the Farnborough International Airshow in Britain and the ILA Berlin Air Show, both of which are staged in alternate years to the Paris show. The Paris event starts with four professional days closed to the general public, and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday the public, including children, are allowed in.

The Paris Air Show is organised by the French aerospace industry's primary representative body, the Groupement des industries françaises aéronautiques et spatiales (GIFAS). According to GIFAS, the 2011 Paris show attracted 151,500 professional visitors and 204,000 members of the general public, and 3,250 journalists from 80 countries.[4]

It is a large commercial event, with a major purpose being to demonstrate military and civilian aircraft to potential customers. It claims to be the most prestigious aircraft exposition in the world. Major aircraft sales contracts are announced by manufacturers during the show. All major international manufacturers, as well as representatives of the military forces of many countries, attend the Paris Air Show.

"A very comfortable room once you make it there. Getting there was very difficult for me, but I’m a foreigner who doesn’t speak French so it’s probably just a me thing. The parking and unloading the car was very stressful because there was not a lot of options in front of the hotel and I made a mechanics shop angry as I was trying to unload. There is not a lot to do in the surrounding area so we were a little bit bored. However it is very close to the palace of Versailles and that alone made it...

"The first person that check us in wasn’t very welcoming and seemed to not have a lot of patience for our inquiries. However, the rest of the staff, made up for it. The staff during restaurant staff were kind and welcoming and specifically a staff member at the front desk- who I spoke to later, was very helpful. Overall, the hotel had everything we needed and very convenient to be across the airport and included breakfast- one last thing to worry about as we had an early morning flight. "

" An Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommend! From the moment we arrived, the service at H4 hotel was impeccable. The staff were warm, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to detail—from the luxurious toiletries to the complimentary water and variety of coffee. The on-site restaurant exceeded expectations, with a delicious variety of dishes and top-tier service. We also loved the amenities—especially the pool and sky bar with an amazing view,which made our stay feel truly relaxing and indulgent. "A very enjoyable stay. Felt very safe and hotel is in a nice area. Kitchenette was perfectly equipped to make basic meals and every part of our room was exceptionally clean. The security shutter was a real bonus to make the room completely blackout as well as extra reassurance. Bus service to and from the Disney park was faultless and timings are obviously carefully planned to accommodate for shows and opening times etc. Great bakery next door for pastries and filled baguettes and a small shop close by. Would 100% recommend and look to return for our next Disney trip as it represented such good value for money. "
