Great cabin!

We absolutely loved this cabin!! The cabin is gorgeous, clean, and spacious. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable. The view from the deck is amazing. I definitely recommend this cabin!

Magical Weekend Beyond My Dreams

The Last Resort was a beautiful place to stay especially with prime time fall leaves! The owners are amazing people and truly will go above and beyond to help with anything at all. This spot and that weekend will forever hold a special spot in my heart.

Perfect getaway!

Size of home where everyone has their own bedroom and bath and can spread out without being on top of each other was nice! Home and mountain views are breathtaking! I highly recommend vacationing here. You won't be disappointed!

Perfect for a big group

The house is well stocked and spacious. Sleeps 16 and easily handles the needs of everyone. Tons of counter space, seating, bathrooms, etc. The views are great from the balcony and we loved every minute of our stay. The hosts are easy to communicate with and happy to help.

Loved the house!

Employees from our small nonprofit chose this location for a short getaway from work to enjoy each other's company. Some of our employees are out-of-state and everyone works remotely, so we were looking for a place we could all meet (10 of us) that provided sufficient privacy for everyone and good common areas. This house was great for that, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were extremely pleased with the house. Kitchen was fully stocked with all items necessary for family meals. We found the hosts to be very prompt in responding to any of our needs or questions. We would highly recommend The Last Resort for a family vacation. We are already making plans for another stay.

Excellent. No corner cut.

We absolutely LOVED this cabin! From the charming double fireplaces to the spacious double living rooms, there was more than enough room for everyone, and it truly turned our stay into a BLAST! The cabin was impeccably clean, and knowing the owners were just a text, call, or VRBO message away brought an incredible sense of safety and security. Check-in was seamless, with codes that worked perfectly—I can't praise it enough! It was beautifully decorated and felt just like HOME, a rare gem that so many VRBOs fail to achieve.

Perfect Christmas Cabin

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! The building itself is a work of art and the layout of the home is so convenient to larger family groups and quality time together. The kitchen, laundry, bath, and bed rooms were all well equipped with necessities and so comfortable. We loved being in a gated community and in such a remote location with gorgeous views! Thank you!

Clean and comfy!!

The home was very cozy and the beds were comfortable. The kids had lots of fun with the hidden surprises. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. The view of the mountains were beautiful. I do wish there was more outdoor room for the kids to have played without worrying about them falling down a hill. We would recommend this home, especially for large family gatherings.

Amazing - 2nd stay!

This house, the views, and the owners are all LOVELY - couldn't recommend more highly. This was the second time we brought a group of 10 friends to stay in this house...we've been to several after 20 plus years of friendship and this is the ONLY one we've ever booked more than once. Do it!

Amazing mountain home!

Our family and friends rented this home to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. We had a group of 15 (including 4 kids) and it was the most perfect accommodation for us! I’m a stickler for cleanliness and it completely met my expectations. The views were breathtaking, and we loved that we were in a gated community. Tricia was a very responsive and gracious host. I hope to stay here again!!

Nice big house

The house was just as described. Very clean, nice and well equipped with dishes and just about any appliance you could ask for. Very secluded house in a gated community. Only drawback (but also an advantage) is that it takes a while to get to and from town and the mountain attractions. Overall, we were very pleased.

Second time staying at The Last Resort -- Magnificent!

The cabin haw a wow factor like no other! We celebrated my son's first birthday with 11 of our close friends and family. The Last Resort is very clean and has everything that you need for cooking and entertainment!!! There was more than enough space for everyone to have a private spot and room to party. As stated, this was our second time staying at The Last Resort and we will definitely rent again in the future!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful get away location.

Our group of moms picked the PERFECT place for a relaxing getaway!!! From our initial booking to our final correspondence, the owner was incredibly accommodating and gracious. From the moment we stepped through the front door till the moment we departed was absolutely perfect....the home was spacious, had all the modern appliances and amenities, was furnished in an authentic cabin theme throughout, had enormous bedrooms with super comfy beds, and the most fabulous deck for morning coffee!!! And you just can't beat the amazing views! Everything about this home was top-notch....it was truly a wonderful weekend getaway!

Gorgeous Retreat

Booked the property for 12 cousins to get together, forget our day to day lives, and spend some great R&R. The property was absolutely gorgeous. They had everything we needed, including 3 wooden boards for an epic charcuterie board, and views for days. We will absolutely be back again. The only thing I wanted to let you all know is we had an epidemic of stink bugs. Not a big deal but wanted to let you know. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Perfect mountain getaway

We had grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins from multiple states for a week for our daughter's wedding in Wilkesboro and an early Thanksgiving. The house was spacious, with room and privacy for everyone, plenty to entertain the kids, and all we needed to enjoy ourselves. The cabin is just beautiful. Loved the deck (breathtaking view!!) with fire pit, hammock, and gliders. With 14 guests, the extra refrigerator in the lower level came in handy. We also used the grill. Owner was responsive to questions before our arrival, and property managers were super helpful while we were there, addressing questions about the fireplace and fire pit, and handling issues with hot water and smoke detectors. We were within 30 minutes of everything. Would stay again!

Family Reunion

Wonderful home & kitchen for lots of friends.

“The Last Resort” is a fantastic home for a large group. All rooms are spacious and comfortable. The view from the back deck is lovely. The kitchen is amazing, easily accommodating two or more cooks at once, and there is a large bar area downstairs with a second full sized fridge. Our group of adults attending the MerleFest had a lovely stay and wished for more days just to enjoy the cabin.
