The ground floor unit easily met our expectations and needs. The unit is well appointed*The site is convenient to Salem and Boston- nearly next door to both but unless you are looking at a map, you would never know and it is quiet. My sister-in-law mentioned that it was only seconds after our ‘really' quick look around that we already felt comfortable and at home, seated and talking like we were finishing a conversation started earlier that day. The old-world charm is evident when you arrive and once inside, the restored natural wood floors blend well with pleasant and comfortable contemporary furnishings. The weather was cool during our stay so I can only imagine that come warmer weather the deck would be the perfect place for a morning coffee, an afternoon of reading and iced tea..., and whenever- fresh coastal breezes.*Kitchen was large and fit with quality appliances and abundant space, all more than enough for cooking quick or big. The living room and bedrooms are comfortable, clean, and for me- the whole space was clean of clutter leaving the house and us plenty of room to breathe. All that and above takes some doing and the hosts did just that.Upon booking we received some well-chosen information anyone new to the area would need. That was followed by a few reminders that we could reach out to him for what else we might need. Access was easy and everything worked. It was an entirely pleasant stay. The 1850s home seemed like a natural for a New England get-a-way
