Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
I didn't end up staying at the location which was masked by VRBO and was falsely advertised as being "next to Harvard Square". I was there for a surgery and needed to be at or next to Harvard Square to catch the red line for pre-op. It was not next to the square. It's near Alewife. IYKYN. It wasn't walkable in under 20 minutes, and it certainly wouldn't have been safe for a female walking alone post-surgery at night. It was a good 10-15-minute drive with no traffic. I ultimately had to go through surgery without sedation and drive the 2 hours home because the property was not close enough for public transportation, and I had to drive, regardless. It was a nightmare, and they wouldn't refund the cost. I will never trust VRBO's blinded listings again. They continue to send me template apologies about their cancellation policy. I'd prefer they stop misleading people in the listing.
