"Clean room, friendly staff, nice location along the beach. Pool was not usable while there. Top floor breakfast was great and a good way to start off your day with a view. Food at the main floor bar is inconsistent and some of the bar staff are not very friendly. "

"Eagle Wind Manor provides charming and quaint accommodation in a gracious old house at the top of Botha’s Hill - convenient for both Hillcrest and Kearsney College. The beds were amazing - great mattresses and pillows, better than many top hotels I’ve stayed in. The room was cleaned and refreshed daily and the tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries were generous. The property is immaculately maintained by both gardening and household staff but it is not modern by any means and could do with a little updating, particularly the bathrooms, where water pressure in room 4 was very limited and the shower in room 2 also battled a little. We were a tad surprised to find that the garden had been hired out for a baby shower on our second day - it was a perfectly lovely event, but it would have been nice to have been warned! The check-in and check-out process was very simple and our hostess was delightful and efficient. We would definitely stay here again as it offers remarkably good value for money and excellent sleep quality."

"Charming antiquity in all the right places. Comfortable crowd / staff around the breakfast area. Nice walkout to end of dock, around sunset watching the waves and surfers. From A nice little old ('white') couple just passing through."
