"Our recent stay at the La Quinta Inn in Santa Cruz was great. The hotel was clean throughout, and the room itself was spacious and comfortable. One of the best aspects of the property is its location, as it is within easy walking distance of the beach and surrounded by plenty of dining options. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast provided a good variety of choices each morning. Parking was also straightforward and felt secure, making the overall experience convenient and hassle-free."

"Unfortunately they were still renovating the pool and main river building. We went there over 3 years ago and it really didn't seem like there was much progress. Plus it was a huge bummer the River Runs through it restaurant/bar wasn't open. We were looking to have a drink and play some pool, or listen to a little music outside with a fire. I guess going on a Tuesday don't expect much entertainment. The room however was nice but you can hear your neighbors a bit. The Diner however was the main reason we went. Love the 50's look and feel, I bought a dress just for that. Great hiking in the surrounding area and lots of thrift/antique stores!!!! Wish I had more time. As for the haunting.....listen I love all the history of this place which makes it wonderful in its self but not 2nd time there and never had anything happen..sorry. BOOK NOW SO THEY CAN FIT THAT POOL!!!!"

"The hotel location is great if you’re going to a concert at Shoreline. Super easy to walk to and from and not deal with traffic. The rooms are comfortable and the food at the restaurant is decent. This was our second time staying here and I have to say that we dealt with more issues that seem to be staff not paying attention than anything else. When we checked in, we were given keys that had the entirely wrong room number and floor on them. We made it to the room for the keys to not work, and when I went back to figure out what was happening they realized they sent us to a room that was already occupied. We definitely felt awkward because we had been moving the door handle trying to get into a room that may have had people in it. The second issue came about after we checked out. I got the emailed bill this afternoon to see that someone else’s meal was charged to our room. Now I have to wait 5-7 business days to get my $40 back. I guess that’s my bad for not reviewing the bill before we left, but again, it just seems like mistakes that could be easily avoided."
