"We did not arrive until 11.30pm as we were stuck for 3 hours in traffic in switzerland and had no way of contacting the owner. She was wonderful as we thought we would be sleeping in the car that night, but she got out of bed and let us in. Following morning, breakfast was all home made and the owner accepted my sincere apologies for the late arrival. May be an idea that Expedia gives each other a phone number to ring if late as I had no access to email whilst driving. "

"We arrived at 5.15pm and found the doors closed and a sign on the door with a telephone number of the owner to call for arrivals after 4pm. We called the number and left a message, left with no option but to wait outside in a cold January day with a child. The owner called us back only 1.15h later!!!
