"The hotel is well maintained, exceptionally clean, has wonderful linens. We stayed in an upstairs room with very narrow winding staircase with no handrails. Difficult to navigate as we are a senior couple. The room was small, but well appointed. "This is a very unique place to stay that oozes character. It is in a tiny community but has many options for entertainment at the hotel. The man who runs it is very responsive to needs. The place is decorated with a great sense of humor and an incredible movie theme. I used the location as a base to go in all four directions. It is do-it-yourself on meals but that suited me fine."

"Really clean and comfortable and a great welcome from the hosts. Great recommendations for eating out nearby. They do evening meals if requested in advance. There are two saunas at the property which I didn't get to use but if I had the time, would have loved to. Breakfast was perfect. The fried eggs have to be tasted to be believed. "I stayed at Thon for the first time after staying at a number of different hotels near Brussels Airport. I was originally put off by the overall rating but I’m very glad I read the negative reviews and booked anyway. In my experience (on check-in and check-out) the staff were friendly and professional. If you are looking for an airport shuttle then this hotel doesn’t provide that (as far as I’m aware). There is public transport The room I stayed in was very clean, the bed was really comfy and there was a new smart TV with Netflix and YouTube. In my experience these things are not as standard in most hotels near the airport. I would definitely stay again"
