We were there during winter storm Fern. Hosts were so helpful with anything we needed ensuring that despite the cold and icy conditions we were safe and well. The home itself is very comfortable and situated on a beautiful property. Would love to go back in the summer months.
The house is very gracious and available with any issues. We had very clean spacious house, stately manor on a large country property would highly manor.
My husband and I along with our dogs had a wonderful stay at Jackie’s place! She was extremely kind and helpful with check in and gave great food and ice cream recommendations. Our dogs absolutely loved running around the property and it was so peaceful sitting on the porch rocking chairs. 10/10 reccommend!
The home was cozy and comfortable, the host had everything you would need for a country getaway! Stunning views, loved the firepit, and front porch! Look forward to staying again!
I loved everything about this property. The house was so neat, the ac actually kept up, the beds were comfortable, the views were amazing, I would have stayed forever if I could.
We stayed for a family celebration and it was wonderful! Great communication from host/owner. Beautiful home in a peaceful and relaxing setting. Can’t wait to stay again!
Husband and I spent a quick weekend gateway - the property was beautiful and the old farmhouse absolutely gorgeous. The host was friendly and made check in and out seamless as possible. We will definitely be back!
This was a very quick trip to meet my mom and daughter so my son can go to be with family for the rest of the summer. We didn't get to use all the amenities but was relaxing and the perfect spot after a long trip.
We loved the farm house. Wish we could've stayed longer. The place was clean and in a very quiet location. Communication was great. Check-in was very easy.
My husband and I were in town for only one night, and we wish we had more time to stay at this amazing getaway. Everything was as described and Jackie was an amazing host. She made sure we were comfortable and was eager to help with anything we needed. We will definitely visit again!
We stayed for the night with our family of 7 on our way home from Florida. It was a large house with plenty of space both inside and outside and gave us a chance to spread out a bit for the night. We were able to cook a quick meal and spend the rest of the evening relaxing. The porch was peaceful as well with plenty of birds singing beautiful tunes.
We loved just being able to go and stay on the property enjoying the views and room to run and play my kids want a farm house now recommend for a family that wants to disconnect from electrics and spend time together
A beautiful isolated and private traditional house in lovely surroundings. Comfortable beds and well equipped rooms. Bedrooms very private with personal staircases to each. Decor very attractive and interesting as was the story of the house in the book on the table. The one bathroom downstairs with the three bedrooms upstairs was a little inconvenient but manageable. (A non slip shower mat would have been appreciated), all in all an experience not to have been missed.
The morning sunrise was incredible, and I thoroughly loved the tranquility of the countryside from the rocking chairs on the front porch.
Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us.
This was the perfect location for my family from WI and NC to meet up. Everyone had plenty of space and plenty to do. The dogs and kids loved the yard. We liked that a major city was close, but neighbors were far. The house is spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Being from Wisconsin, we were delighted not to find the old house drafty. Every thing was clean and easy to find. All the modern items one needs to run a household were present. We visited Mammoth Cave, Lost River Cave, the Corvette Museum, Aviation Park, Vett City Antiques and Be Happy Yoga. The nature trail at Lost River was lovely.
Kroger, Amoco, Sheldon Pharmacy, Liquor Warehouse and Dunken were just up the road. Dunken even made a special batch of doughnuts for us! We also tried Sonnys BBQ. We were busy, but we also played Atari, Nintendo, took naps and enjoyed quiet meals. We read a history book and learned about the property and area. The weather was windy and gloomy so we didn't try the hot tub or huge fire ring. But we did enjoy coffee on the beautiful porch each morning. We all miss the mossy green couch, large bath tub and private steps. Jackie was the definition of Southern Hospitality. The kids cried when we drove away, we'd love to return.
