Great location for family with kids

Really enjoyed our stay at the Happy Place. Great location a few blocks from downtown. A huge perk is the bikes that our available to use. Our kids loved riding the bikes and playing outside on the quiet street. There are tons of games around the house that our family enjoyed playing. Hope to visit again!

Fall get away!

Wonderful week up north

We truly enjoyed northern Michigan with this home being our home base. We love everything about Boyne City and the surrounding area. Our Happy Place - Boyne City

A very comfortable stay near Lake Charlevoix and surrounding sites! We really appreciated the location, the deck and hot tub and the cozy couch and were amazed at all the little touches, like all the spices available, the treats you provided, and the kitchen equipment. We really wished we could have had a fire in the beautiful firepit area - it is so cozy - but there was too much wind for as dry as it has been for the past several weeks. Thank you for the great communication and comfortable stay.

Great location and space

Stayed for a week with my husband and teenage son, and the house was a perfect fit for the 3 of us. The couch and beds were comfy; the kitchen was a great size for cooking for the week. Appreciated the grill, games and back patio. Wonderful location - quick drives into the city or Young State Park. Chris was a responsive host.

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at the “Happy Place”. Every year we find a nice, spacious and accommodating place to rent for a long weekend with my (elderly) parents and this home worked. It fit their needs and allowed for them to enjoy their time away. This place is perfectly located to do all the touristy things, which we were able to do many of them. As far as at the home, the fire pit and hot tub are an amazing plus! Personally, I enjoyed flipping through the vinyl collection and sipping a cocktail, myself. The beds are firm and the covers were comfy. The open living space was great for all of us to be together. We had dinner on the deck too which was nice. The weather was perfect all 4 days. We got lucky. The owner was very kind and responded promptly to our questions. We definitely recommend staying here.

Great space for family fun!

We had a great time in Boyne City. The house is fully stocked and has a lot of small items that go a long way to provide comfort like books for the kids, plenty of cozy blankets, and a great outdoor space. It was a quick drive or bike ride downtown and enough space to stay in if the weather is bad. Chris is very communicative and helpful. It's a great place for a family trip up north!

The perfect family vacation spot!

This property was easily the most accommodating rental home we’ve ever seen! We stayed with our 2 daughters along with my best and her husband and family. The hosts thought of EVERYTHING! Bikes for the whole family to ride, a huge toybox, games, lawn games,…it was just wonderful! So many personal touches that made our stay beyond comfortable, not to mention FUN! We’ll be back!

Winter Weekend

Stayed for a nice 3 night winter weekend getaway. Perfect house for our family of 4. Plenty of games for the kids to play after getting back from Boyne Mountain. Didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but a nice perk as well. Easy drive to the mountain while enjoying the restaurants and shops of Boyne city. Quick and friendly communication. Highly recommend.

Great area but place could use some tlc..

Not sure what the 160 cleaning fee is actually cleaning as we unfortunately found beer cans and highnoons on the lawn off the deck, stain on kitchen counter, rx pills found in two spots, the largest cobweb i have seen in a rental above kitchen cabinets and basement stairway like they have never been swept (we swept it). Location was great but this place could use some tlc and a better cleaning service... The kitchen table is particle board and about to crumble.. it almost fell apart as screws were dropping on the floor and wont screw back in.. rooms were spacious and kitchen was useful but for this price i would suggest a happier and cleaner place..

The Happy place was perfect.. two couples for a week of golf in and around Boyne City.. host was great at communicating. Great details provided upon booking. Chris checked in to make sure everything was ok.. this newly remodeled home was a great place to relax after a hot day of golf. We all enjoyed the hot tub for our old aches and pains., the home was clean .. sheets and towels as well., beds comfy.. kitchen was well stocked .. we did clean the grill but the old bbq burned right off.. got lucky on a last minute cancellation! Lucky us because it was a great week and we enjoyed Boyne City as well.. Stiggs loaded fries might make you have a heart attack but you’ll die with a smile on your face..
