Charming Log Cabin Retreat on Cottonwood Creek

Enjoy a relaxing getaway along Cottonwood Creek at our fully restored authentic log cabin. The cabin features a fully updated interior with all the modern conveniences while maintaining the rustic charm of the original log home. Beautiful furnishings and detailing throughout the cabin bring the Montana mountain theme to life!

The large outdoor area boarders national forest land and features beautiful canyon views in the summer and stunning snowscapes in the winter. Cottonwood Creek runs directly through the property and can be accessed just across the yard from the cabin. Enjoy time sitting on the log swing and relaxing to the sound of the creek rushing by.

The covered front porch is furnished with a swing, rocking chairs, and a dining table.
The back deck is furnished with table and chairs and a gas grill. The back yard features an outdoor fire pit area with wood provided (use of fire pit is subject to forest service burn restrictions which are often in effect in late summer/fall due to dry conditions.)

The cabin has wireless internet access to keep you connected. A smart tv and DVD player are located in the living room area.

The cabin features a master bedroom/bathroom with king size bed, sitting area, and private deck on the main floor A second bedroom with queen size bed and full bathroom is located on the second floor along with a small kids sleeping area with a single bed.

Full kitchen with Wolf cook top includes all dishware and cooking ware. Dining area table seats 6.. Cozy living room with leather chairs and wood burning fireplace. Full size washer and dryer inside unit in separate laundry room.

Please note that cell phone reception is spotty in the canyon. A landline is provided in the cabin for making local calls. The cabin is located on a gated property. A separate garage building is located next to the cabin with an apartment on the second floor that houses our property caretaker. The garage and the caretaker's apartment above share a driveway with the cabin.

Enjoy your time just relaxing at the cabin or get out and explore all that this beautiful area has to offer:

*Hiking and biking on the Cottonwood Creek trail head just a short walk down the road from the cabin.

*Yellowstone National Park, 83 miles away through the scenic Gallatin Canyon

*Fishing access on the Gallatin, Madison, and Yellowstone rivers just a short drive away.

*World class skiing at Big Sky Ski Resort 44 miles away, great local skiing at Bridger Bowl just 30 miles away.

*Enjoy nearby hot springs locations including Bozeman Hot Springs, Norris Hot Springs, and Chico Hot Springs.

Fantastic Stay

The cabin was wonderful and had everything we needed. It was located next to a fantastic trail and only 25 minutes drive from Bozeman town centre. We would stay again and also recommend.

Great cabin!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay. The creek and fire pit made for a very relaxing couple of nights. We highly recommend this place!

perfect cabin in the woods

we had a wonderful trip! Hiking, brewery tastings, shopping downtown, Yellowstone! Felt like we were in the middle of the forest, surrounded by the sounds of the babbling creek.

Amazing Cabin and Location

Wow! This cabin is amazing. It’s the perfect mix of rustic with modern updates. My wife and I had a great stay here and even received some good snow storms that added to the serenity of the place. We definitely want to come back again and bring our teenage kids so we can all explore the area. Highly recommend this cabin and so glad I stumbled upon it in my search.

Luxurious Country Cabin

Absolutely beautiful cabin, even nicer than pictures online can show. Very thoughtful details and decor throughout. All supplies we could need in kitchen. Great location close to Bozeman and for seeing ghost towns and Yellowstone, but also very private and peaceful tucked away in a valley. Absolutely loved our stay and hope to return soon!!!

Fabulous- one of a kind property

This cabin is amazing! The communication with the owner was top-notch. The peaceful property was very clean and had comfortable beds. The well-stocked kitchen has any tool and dish needed to make a meal and we used the BBQ twice. The kids loved having s'mores at the firepit. Already booked to come back a 2nd time.

Amazing location, amazing house

Unbelievably special cabin. Very comfortable for our family of 4 (2 college kids). Loved the kitchen gas stove for some heat in the mornings. Kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were all remodeled and beautiful. Loved the location for exploring Bozeman, Big Sky and surrounding mountains. Great location beside the Cottonwood Canyon trailhead so you can hike/bike right from the cabin.

Best Place on Cottonwood Creek

The cabin was more than expected. Location is just great. Quiet and calming. All is there for a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend this VRBO to all. We hope to return in the future.

Family vacation

We loved our time at the cabin! It was beautiful both inside and out. It gave the perfect combination of a secluded cabin but was close to Bozeman. Thanks for a great week!

Fall Break from the Arizona heat

we had a wonderful full week at this charming cabin. we had our 3 kiddos ages 11,9, 4. the cabin was cozy and perfect to cook breakfast or grill at night then sit by the outdoor fire or cuddle up inside watching a movie after a long day of exploring. We went fishing at Bodhi farms. visited Yellowstone, hiked and ate and shopped in downtown Bozeman. it was a perfect week both relaxing and adventure filled.

Amazing Family gathering

We had an AMAZING time at the cabin. Our daughter was able to join us from WY with her BF and we were able able to invite an Aunt and Uncle who lived locally for dinner. The cabin was comfortable, charming, and clean. Welcome basket, bottle of wine & jar of local honey was something that was so welcoming. Spent a day hiking on local trails. Honestly one of the best accommodations we will warmly remember. Thank you.

Heaven on Earth in Bozeman!

This cabin is PERFECTION. My family of 4 stayed here in July 2022 during our first trip to Montana. The cabin sits in a tranquil canyon right next to Cottonwood Creek. The whole area is so calming and beautiful. The cabin was super clean and very well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you would ever need and the washer and dryer were a great bonus. Michael was an excellent host, always answering my questions promptly and thoroughly. He shared a lot of great suggestions on things to do in the area. The check-in process was super easy as well. We felt very at home in this lovely cabin and would love to return someday. Thank you for sharing your home with us Michael!

Shear perfection

Perfection!

This is a special and beautiful place. The setting is absolutely lovely. The cabin is clean and has everything you could need. The hosts clearly take a lot of pride in this home and have paid attention to every detail, taking it from good to great… even perfect! We would stay here again and would even plan a next trip around when this spot is available because it is hard to imagine a more perfect place to stay when exploring Bozeman, Big Sky, Yellowstone etc. Don’t hesitate to book this terrific little place.

Beautiful mountain cabin stay

It was our first time visiting Bozeman and this cabin was absolutely perfect! We have stayed at VRBO’s all over, and this was one of my all time favorites. The setting and the cabin itself was picture perfect.

This cabin was adorable and in the most beautiful setting. The owners provided so many extras that it made you feel very at home. We saw deer and a moose. The cabin is in a perfect location that you can get to town easily and tour around the state.

True peace & seclusion

The best of Montana- tucked away in the lodgepole pines, away from everything, but close enough to access so many towns/trails. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay (traveled with 2 teens), the cabin is filled with thoughtful/intentional touches. Incredible welcome snack basket, fabulous kitchen to cook in, extremely comfortable beds/linens. Luxury cabin stay! We would adventure all day, discovering different hikes and Yellowstone, and come home to the Woodstove, babbling creek beside the cabin, and fires/s’mores at night. Cannot recommend this hidden gem enough, hands down one of our family’s best vacations! Thank you Michael!
