"This place is an absolute gem, better knowing it has been owned by a family for many many years. We loved the attention to detail, in terms of the mid-century decor and vibe. Everything was spot on. The beds were dreamy comfy and the room spacious and comfortable. I would recommend the Sapphire to anyone traveling through Bozeman, yet we had an issue that I feel warrants mentioning.
Less than 60 seconds into my morning shower, the water went… and I do not exaggerate, ice cold! I stepped back… tried to adjust the temperature… no joy! With a head full of shampoo suds, I had to lean forward to rinse my head under fridged water. I got out having semi-washed hair and not been able to properly shower.
My hubs went to the office to report the issue, and was told a report would be made to maintenance. “Sorry.” That was it.
An hour or so later, just before we were due to check out, he decided to try to shower and experienced the exact same thing.
When we returned our keys to the office, and he said, “wow, tried to shower a few minutes ago and same thing happened.” the response was, “Oh, you were in #41, right? Sorry about that. We did put a call in to maintenance.”
We are not hotel snobs, but such an issue at a motel charging $280 for one night is really unacceptable. At checkout, we purchased a deck of cards and a couple of postcards ($20+) and at minimum, we expected a, “Please, these are on us for the shower issue.” Optimally, we thought they could credit 10%ish. Food for thought."
