Bear Hollow near the Buffalo River

"Bear Hollow is a quaint little cabin that sits off the highway in the woods. It’s perfect for a couple or someone traveling with children as there is a pull out in the living room. You do have to walk up some stairs to get to the entrance but it’s not a big deal. There is a rail and the porch goes all the way around to the back where there’s a grill and a place to sit. You can go in/out of a slider there too. Below are 4 seats and a burn pit for the cooler evenings. The cabin’s kitchen had everything except a dishwasher. An electric coffee maker, not a pod but a coffee pot was provided. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Would probably take towels if staying there again as only 3 towels were provided for 2 adults staying 3 days, 2 nights."

"What a great place to stay! Beautiful location! Loved the deck! Everything was clean and tidy. Kitchen had everything needed to cook for a weekend. Loved all of the unique decorations! Anna was a fantastic host who made check in and out so easy and answered messages promptly!"

"Large deck with a good view. Beautiful bathrooms with large showers. Extremely comfortable mattress. Well equipped kitchen. Very private but also close to Jasper and the Cliff House.The property isn’t very suitable for anyone with any mobility issues, the stairs were steep and narrow."

"The property was exactly as advertised. Very cozy and comfortable with everything needed for a great stay. Good for stargazing, although the lights of Jasper do detract a bit. Amazing views!"

"We had an amazing stay at Higher Ground! Private setting, fantastic house, and amazing amenities! We spent a lot of time out back disconnected and relaxing. Stargazing every night from the hot tub was a top favorite for us. Melissa put a lot of thought into the house and it shows! Furnishings and decor was top notch. We will definitely stay again when we are back this way! Wonderful way to spend our 29th anniversary!"

"This cabin is absolutely beautiful!!! The pictures don’t do it justice!! Check in was a breeze, the loaf of homemade bread waiting for us was so wonderful, the detail on the wood counters is just spectacular!!! We absolutely loved it and plan to go back at the first opportunity. If you happen to be a stargazer, this is the perfect spot!!"
