"The location, the house, the neighbors, and the host were all great! There were a few early hiccups that were, in all honesty, my fault (always read EVERYTHING before booking), but James was gracious and willing to work through my misses to make our stay amazing. Minus some cobwebs and floors that could have been a wee-bit cleaner (oh, and some aluminum foil would've been nice :-) ) the house was perfect and afforded us a great place to return after our daily adventures. "Our family of 6 loved this house! It was perfect for our boating trip. The house was clean, with updated decor, spacious, had comfortable beds in every room, and had everything we needed (including all the kitchen necessities... which we used a ton). We spent hours sitting on the shaded deck, enjoying the amazing view of the lake and gully beneath, in between boating runs, and walked the neighborhood in the evenings. It felt like we were on a retreat. An added bonus was the boat/trailer...

"The rehab on this property is superior and retro-fitted in 1950's style. The owner's have remained "true" to the original design - including the original hardwood floors. In addition, and of equal importance, is the attention to detail (the "little things") - fully stocked kitchen appliances & utensils, bathroom supplies, etc. Finally, the shower was great - nice & large with plenty of hot water. And - the location - close proximity to what we started referring to as "town square" - with all...

"Staying at the Victorian Castle is always a pleasure. The decks are peaceful and have great forest views and occasional visits from local turkey and deer. The house itself is well appointed and cozy, and it’s a perfect location to walk into West Village. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Cambria!"
