"WoW!! What a great place. Perfect for the wife and I. Super clean. Quiet street. Close to everything. Had a few questions for the host and Scot responded right away. My inlaws live in Mason. They have cats and I’m deathly allergic. So i will be back at this great spot."
"We had a really good stay at the Trucountry Inn. We had stayed at this location for 4 days and we did really enjoy this historic hotel. That bar staff were very friendly and very helpful. It is a small location in a small town so the majority of the guests at the bar were locals, it is apparently one of the very few bars in the town so every night things get lively. Not wild or crazy just lively. The room was very clean and quaint. Oh and I almost forgot the food options at pretty amazing at the bar, anyone reading this should try the nachos."
Red Sands Ranch River Resort - Private Pool, Tennis, Gym, 4-Story Water Slide!
10/10 Excellent
"This property is great. We had 22 family members of all ages. Even though the river flooded we kept entertained with swimming in the pool, pickle ball, board games, pool, ping pong, exploring the property and watching the rabbits and roadrunners, hummingbirds. There is an extensive lawn with large pecan trees next to the river. The flooded river was actually quite mesmerizing to watch. We will definitely go back."
"Spotless. Beautiful. Cool and comfortable. Responsive and accommodating property manager. Great location. Everything we needed. Comfortable beds, upgraded linens. Nearby groceries and gas and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again should the occasion arise."
Lone Star River Ranch- Large Luxury Venue for Conferences & Retreats - sleeps 44
10/10 Excellent
"This is a wonderful, large property for large, extended families who want to get away without competing distractions. Beautiful, remote ranch with extremely comfortable and expansive accommodations— the listing does not do it justice. The White House is newer and more intimate(smaller but still welll appointed kitchen), the stone house has a huge kitchen and dining area large enough to prepare and serve meals our group of 24 adults, 11 kids and 3 infants.. it is well stocked with pretty much any kitchen gadget needed and a big deep freezer in addition to 4 refrigerators scattered through the house. Don’t worry about dirty clothes — there are 6 washer and dryer combos. The garage ‘gym’, although not air conditioned, is a great place for the kids to blow off steam if raining. The pool is a nice size and the covered patio is amazing. The outdoor kitchen was in the midst of being repaired during our stay unfortunately. The fire pit was relaxing and all porches are scattered with a plethora of rocking chairs and swings. The kids enjoyed the zip line and walks. The river is not easily accessible and given the ages of the kids and recent rains, would not have taken them on the river in kayaks. We explored a few of the trails on foot and in truck; however would have liked to have had a map of the property (both the house layout and the ranch roads) . We did kill a couple black widow spiders by the stone house which is to expected in central Texas. bring shampoo."
"Great place to stay half way between Amarillo and Galveston. Very clean and comfortable. Owner responded immediately and promptly took care of a little problem when we got there. Highly recommend this place!!"
