⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at Quinta São José do Barrilário in the Douro Valley! The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely accommodations, and stunning scenery made our stay feel truly special. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Portugal’s wine country. A memorable experience and a place we would love to return to!

Beautifully restored property. The staff was great. Although we were greeted by a non English speaker we communicated very well through Google Translate.

We had a wonderful two nights at this peaceful oasis. The silo rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views. Joao, the host, was accommodating, friendly, and welcoming. The food was great, really good breakfast, and a nice selection of snacks and wines on the lovely terrace. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful home. The home is cozy, clean and welcoming. I felt comfortable walking through the home and enjoying the shared areas. This is such a cool location. We only stayed for one night but the breakfast was delightful, staff was kind and welcoming, and the room was spacious and clean. Be sure to call when you arrive so they can come greet you at the door!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location. Originally we were only going to stay one night but then ended up staying an additional two nights. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. The room was extremely clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was awesome and delicious. There’s plenty of parking. I just want to add that this hotel has an old time vibe. This is one of those hotels that inspires time travel into the past in a good way. The room has this quaint kind of antique furniture that makes it look like an hotel in the 1960s and 70s. There’s a real key to the room, a receptionist, and a record player and vinyl records in the lobby as well as other vintage items...

Awesome place with in a quiet, rural place.Beautiful sunset view, delicious food, great breakfast, nice room, and kind staff are just few of its highlights. Highly recommended if you want to have a real and peaceful rest close to the Douro area.

Modern amenities, very clean room, pleasant service from staff at the lobby bar. Accommodations were simple but quite comfortable. Well located a short drive from historic center. Very good value.

This bnb is a gem in every way. The location in the historic district is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Car parking is very easy on the street. The bnb itself is stunning and comfortable. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was like none other we have ever seen. The host was friendly and helpful, and her breakfast was remarkable!
