"The property and adjacent garden area were ideal for a weekend stay for a get together we my old school friends and their families. The property was well stocked with all the items you could need for a stay there e.g. pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery and having a dishwasher was a bonus. The beds were not luxurious (a basic folding metal frame), however, despite this they were surprisingly comfortable and I slept really well there. "

"Perfect cottage for our family of 6. Great location with variety of dining and shopping options, perfect amount of space for the family to spread out or all be in one room together. Beautiful garden. The parking is tight for large vehicles but we made it work. The cottage is cute with historic charm and some low ceilings, but we’re all over 6’ tall found the charm worth ducking our heads for. Highly recommend the Dolphin House!"

"The stay here was amazing, I would have given 5 stars for everything, however my only reservation for doing so was that the air conditioning in the hotel wasn’t working, so the room was quite hot, even with fans…. Apart from that, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was sufficient for our needs and ultimately, overall, it was a beautiful stay."

"We stayed in mid July. The hotel has a nice vibe but is looking a little bit tired in places and in need of a bit of a spruce. The rooms were incredibly hot. a fan was supplied but it was pretty ineffective. I hate to think what it would have been like during the height of the heatwave when temperatures were 10 degrees hotter. Hotel is well located for the centre of town with everything within a short walking distance. Didn't eat at the restaurant but did use the bar. Staff friendly."
