The Battle of Waterloo Great historical museum at the location , try and go in a weekday to avoid the crowds.
The Lion's Mound monument overlooks the battlefield of Waterloo, the infamous location of Napoleon's defeat and surrender. Make sure to climb to the top for a 360 degree view point of the now serene fields. There is a cafe onsite that also serves Waterloo beer, which is very good. The museum is excellent. I learned many things about Napoleon and his reign that I was not aware of prior to my visit.

Good morning all, hope everyone had a great Memorial day weekend. This picture is from Belgium when we took a trip to a forest that is fairly famous because of all the bluebells that bloom. Hallerbos was pretty but I do not think it had reached its prime yet this year because thought beautiful was not the explosion you often see int he pictures. However it was a fun excursion out there and a nice walk in the woods.
