"Very convenient location, but the hotel is looking a little tired. The lift is very old and clumsy and parts of the hotel could do with a lick of paint but overall it was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay in Carlisle."

"Nice hotel only just over 5 mins walk from the Railway station. And about 10mins walk from the Festival. I went to Carlisle Blues Rhythm and Rock put on by Solid Entertainments. The best music promoter in the UK. The Room was nice with one of them all in one bathrooms in them which I like. Shower was easy to work. Bed was clean. Wooden floor. Breakfast was pretty good. All hot food had lids on them so warmer than the terrible infa red lights at some other places where it is always cold. Staff nice. Easy check in. And Hotel handy for City centre and Castle. Town was clean. People very nice."

"Overall a very nice pub. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A family business. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Only criticism for us was the room. Well equipped and comfortable, but had clear signs and smells of damp."
