Cabin in Beautiful Timber Coulee

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay. I still can't believe the value - it was VERY reasonably priced for such a beautiful, well-appointed, welcoming cabin. The small delightfully-babbling brook out front was such a major "plus" - sitting on the large covered porch of the cabin would've made it worthwhile even IF the rest hadn't been as comfortable and aesthetically pleaseing as we found it to be! The grounds are large and Tanya was responsive to questions and totally non-intrusive. Though we are a senior couple, I can imagine how fun it would've been had I come as a child with my parents and 3 siblings. The loft area is cozy and would've been perfect as kids for telling ghost stories, giggling, reading with a flashlight, and arguing about whose bed the dog chose to sleep on. The surrounding area is beautiful, and we enjoyed taking evening drives looking for deer (many!!!) and seeing the many immaculate farms and rolling hills. Even though you feel like you're miles from anything, "town" is just minutes away for any incidentals you might have forgotten. My ONLY "complaint" is that the TV is very small for the open, expansive living area ... but the WiFi was solid even though signal away from the cabin could be tricky. My companion is something of a fly-fishing snob, having had a place in the past in the Catskills where he spent two months a year, but he found it to be a great fly-fishing destination true to its reputation. We will almost certainly be back!"

"Upon arrival, check in was very pleasant and efficient. Room was clean, spacious and the king bed was comfortable. The staff was great at registration, Lumber Jack’s saloon and throughout the hotel. The pool (indoor with swim out to outdoor) and hot tub were both very nice. The outdoor lounge area for the pool and Lumber Jack’s were both nice. The breakfast was very good in a well presented and clean environment."

"Everyone always looks for the least expensive room. Quit being cheap, spend the extra $20 and get the premier room. It gives you the bedroom plus a living room, lets you feel more comfortable almost like home."

"We had a wonderful time at the Hidden Hillside Getaway! It is in a quiet, beautiful setting and the inside is so cozy and classy. It was very clean and stocked with all the amenities we needed. We had a question of our host and they responded very quickly. We definitely hope to stay there again sometime."

"Spacious comfortable and charming cabin set in a spectacular setting. Kickapoo Valley is an exceptionally beautiful landscape, and the cabin is perfectly situated to enjoy all of its charms. Bar/restaurant conveniently down the street, kayaking and hiking a short drive away, and exploring local Amish shops and nearby Viroqua."

Owners very friendly..Office smells a little musty like the older motels so expected rooms to be the same but smelled much better.. very clean..walkin showers w good water pressure (mine anyhow #4) fridge freezer..microwave..
