"The location was great for a wedding we were going to, and the place was very affordable. No desk check in was a little odd, but we were able to get into our room, just before midnight on the day we checked in with no issues. It was very warm in the room and in the hallway outside, though the lobby area was clearly air conditioned, no problem at night as we were able to open our windows to let the cool night air in. "Could not recommend Hotel Residenz Schrannenhof enough! From literally the moment we walked in, we were treated like family and felt fully and wonderfully taken care of. They allowed us to check in early so we could nap after our long trip from the US, given recommendations on restaurants/bars and info on train tickets, and the breakfast was amazing every morning! The staff are incredible and our room was big and perfect. Plus, the hotel is literally right across the street from the train station (and bus station as well), so it was a quick ride into Vienna every day. Being outside of the city have us quiet after a long day as well, but we never felt far from the fun. If/when we come back to Vienna, we wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else!!"
