The payment and check in process was not typical for VRBO - it was run by a third party agency for the owner, and you had to check a confirmation email sent by them at time of booking to get the owner's contact info and arrange payment. She even volunteered to be present at the house on the day our luggage was supposed to be delivered, in case we were out.
