  • Get away from it all to this darling rustic cabin. It is secluded and peaceful, yet only 7 miles to downtown Brevard. It has 2 roomy porches to relax on, and long range mountain views in the winter, and a treehouse feel in the summer. Inside there is wide plank pine flooring, hammer beams, and laurel handrailing.

I stayed in the cabin over the Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful stay. Communication with the host was easy and responses were timely. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Check in was easy. Host provided directions to the cabin , rules of the cabin, and how to access the cabin in a timely fashion. The cabin felt like you were in a treehouse, very peaceful, sitting on the deck having my coffee while the rain came down, was soothing to the soul. I would rent again.

Cabin was very clean, and nicely decorated. Very spacious and the kitchen was well stock with supplies. Geographically the cabin is very well situated to downtown Brevard, waterfalls, and other attractions.

Wonderful experience. We were able to check in several hours early…..thank you!! The home has everything you need to stay a few days or a few weeks. Beautifully decorated and maintained, inside and out. We were only there 2 nights. We grilled and ate on the back porch ( spectacular views) one night, and ate in Brevard the second night. Were able to capture video of the white squirrels, and enjoyed walking around Brevard. Would love to stay there longer next time.

It was a very clean place, except mildewy growth all above the master bath was unsettling. The basement has the washer and dryer, but it also smelled musty. Refrigerator had old food left in it, we we didn’t like. It was very clean otherwise.

Beautiful super clean cabin! Cabin was beautiful and spacious. Check-in was easy, location was perfect. Host was amazing, I left a necklace and she made she I got in back free of charge. Host answered every question promptly, this I definitely where I will stay if I return to the area.

This cabin was perfect for our mountain trip. The location is great for being secluded yet not too far outside of Brevard. We enjoyed the beautiful fall colors all around us and waking up in the woods each day was a delight. The cabin was very clean and stocked with everything we needed….very comfortable. Jessica was very nice and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again if we return to this area.

Mountain stay

It was so nice to be in a quiet, clean, peaceful place. The cabin is furnished with everything you need and the most comfortable king-sized bed. It was delightful sitting on the porches with only the sounds of nature. We would happily come back again.

Laurel Haven was exactly as listed...secluded, clean, well equipped, comfortable. It was nice to have the simple basics provided. We had a lot of fun playing ping pong in the basement after our long days of hiking! Jessica was a great host and very responsive. This adorable cabin will be at the top of our list for our next visit!

Wonderful Return

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at both Laurel and Chestnut Haven. Nestled in a quiet and secluded nook in the Brevard area, both cabins offer great comfort and all the amenities for a wonderful getaway. We highly recommend both properties and look forward to a return visit.

Short visit to Brevard and Cedar Rock

We loved the cabin! Clean home, well-stocked kitchen and beautiful deck to sit on. Drinking coffee on deck and sitting in cushioned rocking chairs was a joy. The beds were also cozy and very comfortable. Brevard is a charming town.

Wonderful Winter Retreat

This is a classic mountain cabin located in the peaceful setting of Brevard, NC. My wife and I have stayed here (and the sister cabin) several times and at different times of the year. All visits have been spectacular retreats, and the home offers plenty of space and comfort. We've already booked our next stay. Highly recommend it!

Peaceful Retreat

Very cozy cabin. Interior furnishings and decor added to the cabin vibe first encountered when you drive up. Lots of porch amenities provides outside time comfort. My dog and I had a great stay and enjoyed exploring the area.
