"Villa Cecilia is absolutely lovely, even nicer than the photos. Our family (three couples and an infant) thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The villa is spacious and well appointed, we cooked and ate inside and outside and marveled at the views from so many windows and balconies. Marco was a friendly and patient host, we had several requests prior to our arrival (he helped us organize a celebration luncheon on Monte Isola), he provided prompt and helpful responses and met us on arrival to show...

"Incredible location right on the lake and easy walk into Salo. A beautiful town with magnificent promenade and shop lined narrow streets. The villa is dated and in need of repair, however it does add to the charm of the place. We loved our stay and being a group of friends together was magical."

"We were a group of 6 adults, two children and a dog. Villa Alfio is such a nice place. The house is spacious and every couple got their own bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and cooking for yourself is made easy. Unfortunately there was no dishwasher, so cleaning for 8 people is a bit stressful. The terrace is big an you got a nice view over polpenazze and Lago so Garda. Polpenazze is such a nice town. There are supermarkets nearby and to get to the closest beach it is only a 10-15 minute...

There is no supermarket so you need a car to do the shopping. The old center of Portese was very beautiful and had nice wine bar. One evening there was a very nice market in Portese with barbecue. In the harbor there were nice restaurants. There is a nice beach with chairs, umbrellas, boats to hire and a good restaurant on walking distance, about 30...
