"Arriving at the hotel with our car was confusing even using google maps led us to a side street then took us to the underground carpark which didn't show signs of a 5 star rating hotel. Limited signage and no luggage trolley. Checking in was pleasant enough but our query relating to main entry arrival was answered with a vague address confusion experienced by guests, taxis and uber alike..
Our king room was clean and the bed comfortable. Not too sure about having a sofa tucked in a corner and a tv on the opposite side wall, can't watch tv from the bed.
We had picked Amora hotel as it listed having sauna facilities, it has a sauna but it's very awkward to use having to walk in and out inside the gym to have shower and come back in the gym to enter the sauna next to barbells. If guests were using the gym it would be very unattractive. It's a shame as sauna facilities should be promoted by the hotel more than the gym taking way too much space.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious eggs Benedict made our morning.
Checking out we got that parking downstairs was $40 overnight and upon leaving the carpark there are signs $10 overnight/all w.ent flat fee which was an annoying find.
Overall the Amora hotel has the potential, staff and amenities to promote itself as a five star hotel but it needs to step up to actually gain it's five star status."
