The cabin and Lexi was scratching on th treehouse could not have been more suited to our family

Upon arrival, which was slightly after dark, the cabin was well lit and very welcoming. The treehouse was the perfect extra “suite” for our large family. We also enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and the big open space for the kids to play outdoors. I can’t say enough about the many extras including toys, games, a dollhouse, and a well equipped kitchen! Also appreciated the cleanliness and cozy decor. I will return!!!

Not a good location, issues with property

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I do feel it's important to mention some things that made this trip less than uncomfortable for our family. 1) the lawn wasn’t mowed -- some of the weeds were up to my 4-year-old's stomach, and it looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. We had hoped to let the kids run around outside on the big property, but it was hard to let them roam free with the height of the grass. 2) there was a huge fire ant bed right by front steps, which gave my 1 y/o daughter 8+ fire ant bites within 5 minutes of being at the house. I asked the property management company if they had any ant killer in the house we could use, and they were not helpful at all. 3) location was uncomfortable--we could hear neighbors screaming at each other while we were trying to roast s’mores, and a train backs up right behind the house, which blared its horn at 11:30pm one of our evenings. You have to pass several dilapidated homes on the way to this one, and every night, I felt uncomfortable with where we were staying. 4) We couldn’t get into the tree house that was advertised. The code they gave us didn’t work. Neither did the key they told us to try. Thankfully, we didn't need it, but we did choose this place partly for the appeal of our kids playing in the tree house, which we didn't get to use. The positive was the layout of the rooms. We liked having our kids in the room connected to ours and connected to a playroom. That was a good thing about the home.
