"We so enjoyed our 2 night stay! The historic 1800's Lake House was full of charm. We had use of their kayaks, rafts, docks and enjoyed the views of the lake. I would highly recommend this unique rustic property! The restaurant and bar had great food & drinks. We watched two beautiful sunsets on the deck overlooking the lake. Everyone was very friendly! I am glad we experienced the step back in time!"

"The windows in the hotel entrance and in the breakfast area could use frequent cleaning. While my room was clean and acceptable for this older property. Clean windows in the public areas would create a better first impression for very little cost."

"The room was large, comfortable and clean. This is a unique historic property and has been restored/maintained to the original condition, so don’t expect a Holiday Inn, but the rooms have all the modern conveniences. My bathroom was completely modern and most importantly, clean. I was there mostly at night and it seemed I had the whole place to myself, which was a little spooky, but there are many historical exhibits to explore that are open to explore even at night. A very unique experience and if you like history and historical properties, this is a great way to get an up close look!"
