"We were unable to stay at the property due to several issues but overall it was the large amount of dead bugs on the floor including a dead cockroach that made us leave. The other issues are as follows: the bathroom door is permanently locked - my husband almost got stuck, the key holder to get inside the property is very difficult to open and we spent nearly 10 minutes just trying to get the lockbox open, surfaces in the property were tacky (sticky) or had residue, the mattress in the bedroom had stains, and next door were two abandoned houses with gaping holes and broken windows and doors. I realize the owner has no control over the houses next door, but as a mom with two young children under age 10, I would have liked to know. I am grateful that the owner/contact showed great concern for the issues and was very apologetic, and I am thankful that I was offered a refund from VRBO. It was just disappointing to not be able to stay in the property that we were looking forward to due to the above issues. "
