Newly Opened to the Public June 17, 2025
There are very few places in the world that can offer you an opportunity like this!
Imagine a private artsy 750 sf guesthouse within a 1.5 acre Nature Sanctuary perched on a lush bluff overlooking subtropical gardens and a giant sword fern and myrtlewood forest that leads to the mighty Pacific Coast.
Over 400' trails meander through naturalized gardens, Artistic nature designs, tree-climbing and limb-swinging surprises, cedar decks and a large gazebo tent are tucked between treetops and shrubbery. You hear calls from birds and ocean waves in perfect solitude as you gaze over these details and onto cliffs and formations of this famous stretch of the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor.
At the end of the trail you can access a dock ladder that drops to a private pebble cove with ever-changing tidepools. During low tides you can access this stretch of 1.75 miles of shoreline protected from intruders by giant rock formations between Harris Beach State Park and Rainbow Rock. So only the few lucky property owners, their guests and sea critters can easily access this soft sand and pebble beach.
You would be staying in an enchanting cottage in Brookings, artistically designed to be a serene retreat for guests seeking a peaceful getaway. Your private guest entry is through custom iron doors into a great room featuring a grand wood-plank cathedral ceiling,
The artist Adele spent four years attending to details such as incorporating live-wood ledges, benches, table and countertops inlaid with rivers of obsidian and pebbles collected from the seashore.
The great room features a practical kitchenette with the latest features in new appliances such as two induction cooktops, quality cookware, mini pizza/toaster/air-fry oven, minifridge, etc. A 9' custom cedar console table behind the couch allows the chefs to face and feel part of the action.
A 65" smart tv is set up with a new high quality leather ottoman sofa that converts into a comfy queen sized bed or family entertainment pit.
Adele designed the three-tiered loft space (and all her kid-friendly fun features) for her own grandchildren. Guests of all ages feel like they are sleeping in a Pacific Coast forest, Sheer curtains and blackout curtains offer privacy and napping ability, A high-quality toddler and pet gate allows parents to confine the loft space as appropriate.
More conventional private sleeping is provided by the antique queen bed under a wooden cathedral ceiling with icy rock-effect walls.
The bathroom is equipped with a luxurious black-glass and teak steam sauna that can be set for up to an hour of pampered comfort as well as a quick shower after your hikes through the local redwood forests, your private beach and local amenities.
Steps from the guesthouse you will find a dining area, under the Red Cedar coastal pines. This guest exclusive area also features a propane BBQ and two giant cable reel tables with eight stools. A 60" disk swing is set up in a casual native landscape.
Adele's husband Rich, aka the poet Kaibab, has spent his lifetime collecting rocks and nature specimens (including tons of petrified wood, lava rock and driftwood) that Adele has artistically rearranged on their property, inside and out. Spheres are her trademark that you will often see tucked into her garden sculptures as gazing balls throughout your strolls here.
Check out the pictures and you will better understand why guests are saying that is simply NO PLACE LIKE THIS.
Better yet... Why not treat yourself your family and friends to this fresh opportunity hidden in the "banana belt" of the U.S. ? (So called due to it's moderate temperatures when other parts of the country are scorching hot or freezing cold.)
Rich and Adele will be happy to answer any questions before or while you stay at our place.
Thanks for looking!
