Wampler's Lake Cottage

Spacious, open first floor gives your group plenty of relaxing space. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are two main-floor bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with bunk beds, and a bath with a claw-foot tub. The winding staircase takes you to the master bedroom, master bath that has a jacuzzi tub, and in-house laundry.

Outside, the open patio gives you a great view of the canal which leads to Wampler's Lake. Relax by the fire pit, chat with friends while enjoying the patio umbrella, table and chairs, or go for a stroll through the welcoming neighborhood.

Recent upgrades include a new front patio & steps, and a new seawall and dock. Fresh lawn to go along with the upgrades means there's great space for yard games and for everyone to play.

You are a short walk to Jerry's Pub and only minutes to drive to Hayes State Park, downtown Brooklyn, and MIS speedway featuring NASCAR and Faster Horses. Enjoy the many attractions the Irish Hills has to offer such as antique shops, wineries, and local festivals.

Cozy Canal Cottage

The house is set up very well for families and especially families with children and or pets. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the host was very responsive when we had questions and again when we wished to extend our stay. I recommend!

Quiet, Secluded, and Very Clean Property

We selected this rental primarily because it was near a wedding venue on Wamplers Lake. Everything you could need is supplied as described in the owner's information. There was a lovely yard and canal where we saw a big turtle, rabbits, and even an egret. Inside, it was open and spacious, comfortable, and well supplied. You could really just pack a bag and buy some groceries in Brooklyn and be set for your stay, however, there are some great local eateries we also enjoyed. Eric was a super communicator and a great host. The bottom line is we would return here again because it is a solid area and place to getaway.

Great property

We had a great experience overall! Although we had to shorten our stay and didn’t get to fully enjoy everything the cabin had to offer, we were impressed by how remarkably clean it was. The owner was very communicative and accommodating, which we greatly appreciated. We’d love to return in the future to experience everything!

Wonderful stay

This VRBO was the most well stocked place we have ever stayed at, which I greatly appreciated. From the kitchen, to the linen, to toilet paper. Just really well thought out. Thank you!!We loved the neighborhood, everyone was friendly and welcoming. There was lots and lots of fishing for our little ones which they thoroughly enjoyed. We caught fish, bullfrogs, and a turtle which of course we put back into the lake, but the kids were just thrilled. I especially loved the open concept of the home. We have family over by Jackson and Marshall and this place was perfect for everyone to come visit for a few hours and then head back home. Thank you so much for the comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and the furniture in the living room was also nice.

Peaceful Repose

The house is in a peaceful neighborhood with friendly neighbors. We were greeted and welcomed by many as were our dogs. The neighborhood was also full of rabbits, which ultimately caused the most excitement in our house for the family, but especially for the dogs. There's also a rabbit making a burrow in the backyard, so we all got a bit of entertainment watching that take place.If you plan to stay, but not go outside, I'd recommend bringing your Roku or fire stick for the TV. We using casting to watch shows when we were there.The house is well stocked with pillows and blankets and the kitchen is extremely organized. I hope the next vacationers enjoy the space as much as we did.

Great place to stay!

It was a clean place that had plenty of space. We played cornhole in back (we brought our own) and had a fire each night in the pit. They owner even provided a few snacks and the kitchen had the necessary basics. Lastly, I left my glasses and the owner was nice enough to ship them back to me!!!

Life celebration

Very nice property on the canal. Within walking distance to local pub. Wish that there were blinds/curtains in front window so people could not see in at night. Host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Peaceful getaway

We had a fabulous stay at this property. Everything was sparklingly clean, drawers and cupboards were labelled to make finding everything a snap, and the owner was so communicative and accomodating. We loved the peace, quiet, and beauty of the canal and had plenty of space to relax as a family. We enjoyed watching the turtles near the canal, and had plenty to do in the area. If you're looking for a good spot for dinner while staying here, we highly recommend Danley's in Tecumseh, and Callaghan's in Brooklyn has outstanding coffee. Can't wait to come again!

Darling cottage

The cottage tucked away on a canal on Wamplers Lake was the perfect getaway w/ my 3 teenagers. A quick walk to Jerry’s pub made logistics and lake access great. We brought kayaks so dropping them off the dock was easy and provided a great venue for kayaking. We brought fishing poles and fished off the dock. Wamplers is known for Northern Pike snd Bass. The cottage itself was the perfect set up for everyone to enjoy, eat, play games, use the fire pit and charcoal grill. The loft master up was delightful and spacious. My teens loved it. Everyone around us was very friendly. Hope to go back.

Great stay. Please put a book or brochure that explains how to use things. Also, let clients know that there are ice trays. We never saw them and we kept trying to use the water on the fridge and the icemaker, and there was no note to say that did not work so we had to buy ice. The trays are hidden, and none of us found them until night. We were leaving. Your pan for making eggs his loss all of its nonstick cookware cookware. The access to the TV was a no go! We all tried and gave up. But overall, we loved the place and we’re very happy with our stay for the most part even though upstairs was a little warm just up the AC and we were fine. The Jacuzzi tub upstairs was awesome and our last night we relaxed, and that was great! If if you could list in your online information that you have limited oil for cooking, that would be awesome. We would’ve brought it.😎🐾

Check in was easy. We were greeted with some snacks and a welcome letter. The home was very spacious and overlooked the canal. It was very quiet and relaxing. A quick drive to Walter J. Hayes Park/beach where 11 gets you a day pass if you live outside of Michigan. Pet friendly, but no fenced in space if you need that, so dogs need to be on leash. No paddle boards or kayaks on the property, but plenty of places close by to do so. Very nice little getaway before school starts up again. Host was available for questions and responded promptly. 10/10. Will stay again.Stacey
