"The company managing the property only seemed interested in telling us about their requirement to make an arrangement to cover breakages at the property during our stay. We could either pay an insurance fee or a deposit which would be returned minus an administration fee 14 days after we vacated the property - why 14 days? "a reasonable property that is very well located for all amenities in this lovely town. the couch was a little low to the ground for us as we have problems with our knees ( old age catching up ) and carrying the luggage up the stairs made me breathless ( my fault as I should have checked this before booking ), but the flat was comfortable and we had an excellent time. "Lodge was easy to find and access from email instructions. Love the decor/styling. Kitchen was well kitted out and a great shower. Good TV, comfy sofa. Small secure outdoor space was fine for small dog to potter out. Highly recommend for a couple. Very handy for town centre, Alnwick Castle and parkrun Heaters seems to constantly click loudly so options were a disrupted sleep or being a bit cold overnight. Parking would be tricky in peak season but <5mins walk. "

"Flat was in an excellent location for us being just across the road from a lovely dog friendly beach with a cafe that did fabulous breakfasts. We were very happy with our stay and the owner was easy to communicate with. However I will mention that the outside area is very scruffy and bins were overflowing with lots of bottles on the floor. "Pretty easy place to find. Getting up to the upper lodge can be a challenge for people with mobility issues. The lodge is a wonderful quirky olde worlde place.
